"Can I tell you something?" We both asked at the same time. "You go first" We said together and then laughed. "Let's say it at the same time" I said.
"One, two, three" I counted. "You did amazing during practice today" We both said together. Yep, I chickened out. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw K hand Heeseung a pillow and then I heard him scream and smack himself with the pillow.
Heeseung's going to murder me when I get inside. I heard Jay sigh and look over the balcony when I felt some raindrops fall onto my head. I deserve to be rained on.
"Come on in you two!" K shouted to us as he held open the door while Sunghoon and Jake held back Heeseung from shutting it again.
"Yeah, if we stay out we'll get a cold" Jay sighed and started to walk away. It was like instinct, but I just moved and grabbed Jay's hand, stopping him. I watched K shut the door again, getting the signal I was going to tell him.
"I said the wrong thing earlier," I said. "What? Did I not do good in practice?" He asked, teasingly. "Seriously Jay! This time I'm serious" I said. The rain got heavier as I finally looked him in the eyes.
"I like you! Like a lot!" I shouted. I saw Jay start to smile and then pulled me into a hug. "I've been waiting forever for you to finally say that" He said.
"YES! YOU THREE OWE ME 50,000 WON!" I heard Heeseung yell. "But, I can't date you" I mumbled and pulled out of the hug. "NO!" I heard him yell again. "I know about the contract," Jay said.
"What, how?" I asked. "Sunghoon and Heeseung told me. They also said to buy the company if they try to kick you out for dating" Jay laughed. "You know, you didn't say you like me as well" I pouted as he laughed.
"I've liked you since Part 1. I think that says enough" He smiled. "But, I don't want to date" He added. I could feel my smile drop. "Well, not right now. Let's debut together first and then, we'll date" He continued.
"Jay, if we don't debut together, I don't know if I'll be able to date you. Debuting is going to be a lot of work, we won't see each other" I sighed as he patted my back. "Don't think like that! We'll debut together" He laughed and hugged me again.
"Really though. Taehyun and I broke up because he debuted, I don't want to date and then break up because we don't have time if only one of us debuts" I explained. "Well, I'm not Taehyun, because if only I debut, I'll always make time for you. No matter what" He said as I nodded.
"Now, let's head inside and warm ourselves up. I'm cold" He said and started to lead me to the doors. "Hey, Jay. Have you ever danced in the rain?" I asked.
It was something I've done with Ni-Ki and Konon back in Japan. We always ended up getting a fever, but we were kids so I'm sure me and Jay will be fine."How do you do that? We have no music" He said.
"You don't need music. I did this all the time with my father in Seattle and in Japan with Ni-Ki and Konon" I laughed and grabbed both of his hands. "Ever tried ballroom dancing?" I asked.
He shook his head. "Then let's teach you" I said.
We danced around for a while, and we were having tons of fun. The balcony got super wet, so I decided to slide around like I was ice skating again. I was messing around and spinning, when I slipped and fell into Jay's arms.
"Watch out" He laughed. I looked up at him as we locked eyes. Yep, this is the guy I liked back in elementary. They have the same eyes I fell in love with, then and now.
"Let's head inside," Jay said. "Yeah" I nodded, but we didn't go anywhere. "Your eyes... I've liked them since Seattle" Jay said under his breath. Next thing I knew, my lips were locked with his and the I-Landers watching us were screaming.
