Seokjin attempted to get into a comfortable position one more time before officially giving up on taking a nap. Huffing in annoyance, he wiggled himself around until he could climb off the bed, easing himself to his feet. He padded out of the room and right next door to the second bedroom, pausing in the doorway as he looked around with wide eyes.
"You're not supposed to be in here until it's done!" Namjoon softly scolded from where he was struggling to put a bookshelf together, but Seokjin ignored him, stepping a bit further into the nearly finished nursery. The sunset orange color on the walls looked even better than Seokjin had imagined it, the other tans, peaches, and oranges throughout the room complementing it extremely well. And while the furniture in the room was still in the process of being put together, Seokjin already felt emotional just imagining being in there with his little Jaehyun in just a few weeks' time. "I thought you were gonna take a nap."
"I can't get comfortable." Seokjin said as he continued to look around the room. "Jae's gonna love it."
Namjoon grumbled under his breath as he continued to attempt to put the shelf together. "He better after all the effort I've put into it-ow!"
Seokjin carefully lowered himself to the ground next to Namjoon and reached out to take over the shelf. "I am completely capable of putting this shelf together." Seokjin insisted when Namjoon tried to take the materials back. "I will leave the moving it to you."
"...fine." Namjoon leaned over to give him a kiss before standing up and moving onto the crib.

"Do you see her yet?" Seokjin asked, as he hadn't been able to bear standing for very long in the airport and therefore was relying on Namjoon to spot his mother while he sat at one of the tables.
Namjoon shook his head. "We did get here early though. It might be a while."
Seokjin pouted as he ran a hand over his stomach. He hadn't seen his mother in nearly two years since his 28th birthday when he and Namjoon had visited his mother for a week, and ever since it was confirmed that she could come and visit for a couple of weeks around the birth of their pup, he had been craving her warmth and fresh baked goods scent.
After a few more minutes, Namjoon finally said those magical words. "I see her coming down the escalator." Seokjin perked up and, as Namjoon hurried towards the escalator to greet the female omega and take her luggage for her, focused on getting himself out of his chair.
By the time he was standing, Namjoon had returned with Seokjin's mother, the tears of happiness she was crying evident even behind the mask she was wearing. "Seokjin-ah!" She exclaimed, pulling him into a hug as best she could. "You're glowing even more in person!"
"Thank you, Eomma." Seokjin giggled, nuzzling against her scent gland. "I missed you."
"I missed you too." She whispered.
They finally let each other go after a few more minutes and proceeded to head out to the car hand in hand as Seokjin's mother interrogated him on all details of his pregnancy that he had left out during their phone calls with Namjoon following behind with her luggage. By the time they were actually in the car, she had managed to scold Seokjin multiple times over continuing to work during the pregnancy instead of staying at home all day. "I'm not working anymore, Eomma." Seokjin assured her as Namjoon started the car. "I shortened my hours when I hit the third trimester, and I officially started my maternity leave about a month ago."
"Eight months too late." She scoffed, and Namjoon agreed only to earn a playful smack on the arm from Seokjin.
"Many omegas here in America will continue to work up until the day they give birth." Seokjin pointed out to his mother.
"There's lots of things Americans do that make no sense." She countered and Seokjin opted to stay quiet as she had a point.

A sharp pain ripping through Seokjin's lower abdomen forced the omega awake. His hand immediately flew to his stomach as panic ripped through him. The only thought on his mind was that something must be wrong until he remembered that he was technically a few days overdue. And then panic set in for a completely different reason. As the pain passed, he waited to see if another wave would wash over him, every second with no pain bringing him closer to complete relaxation.
Then after about ten minutes, the pain started up again. "Joon~" He whimpered, frantically patting at the alpha's chest. "Namjoon!"
Finally, the alpha woke up, scrambling to get his CPAP mask off. "What?"
"I think I'm starting to go into labor." Seokjin said as the pain dissipated again.
Namjoon sat up straight and looked down at him. "What?"
Seokjin nodded. "It's only been two contractions so far, but I really think this is it."
"You're sure it's not just Braxton Hicks again?"
"No, those always felt more like something was squeezing me on the inside." Seokjin stated. "These have actually been painful."
Namjoon threw the blanket off of himself and climbed out of the bed. "So, we should go to the hospital."
Seokjin shook his head as he tried to push himself up to a seated position, his mate hurrying to his side to help. "They'd probably just send me right back home and say to come back when I'm having more contractions." He sat on the edge of the bed but didn't move to stand up just yet. "But I don't think you should go to work today." Namjoon agreed and moved to grab his phone so he could call in for the day as Seokjin pushed himself to his feet. The omega moved around the room to gather his clothes, planning to take a shower while he was still in the mood to do so.
