Next day there was their last T20 match. Virat was playing the match and Shreyas was rested. They had lost that match but they won the series.

Openers failed to perform. Only Virat and Mahi had half centuries but they were also out in the end.

All were in the dressing room dejected.
'Chin up guys. It was a good performance over all in whole series. We have some things to work on and we will do it. So don't worry'
Said Mahi trying to cheer them up.

One person who was lost in his own world not at all hearing the Mahi was Rohit. Everything was going worse for him.

Jassi sat beside him and held his hand knowing what is going on his mind.
In the bus Shreyas sat beside Rohit rubbing his hands to calm him.

And when they reached the hotel Jassi and Shreyas went in Rohit's room.
This was all observed by none other than Virat.

He saw everything how Rohit was avoiding him in recent days. How Jassi and Shreyas were always by Rohit's side. How Rohit was looking extremely sad and tired.

'Why is he avoiding me ? I know something is wrong and I even tried asking him so many times but he didn't share anything. Is it something related to me ? Did I do something wrong ?'

'But we hardly talked for me to say something to him which may b hurted him. And I cannot believe that Jassi is hiding from me. And Shrey too. Rohit is not comfortable with me to share this'

Virat's brain was overthinking at full speed. And Ofcourse why not because it was his best friend hiding things from him.

'Did I make Rohit feel that he cannot share things with me ? What did I do ?'

He just lay on his bed thinking all this. Sleep was far away from him. Rishabh was sleeping beside him.

He got up and went towards Rohit's room to check on him but again he found it locked. Now I clearly knew that something was wrong.
He was wondering what reason will they give him tomorrow about this.

Virat obviously could not sleep so he went to Mahi's room. He got relieved to see that it was open. He went in and saw Mahi laying on his bed closing his eyes. He just went and kept his head on his chest and cuddled him.
That action caused Mahi's to open his eyes and he found Virat cuddling him.

Mahi patted his head to which Virat just hugged him tighter. After sometime Mahi decided to ask him.

'Cheeku ?' Called Mahi.

'Hmm' said Virat sleepily.

'Kya baat hai ? Is something bothering u?' Asked Mahi softly.

Mahi waited for response when he looked at Virat he slept. He just hugged him and slept himself.

Next morning Mahi got up and saw Virat was awake laying cuddling him.

'Good Morning kiddo' said Mahi softly.

'Morning bhai ! Did I disturb u yesterday bhai ?' Asked Virat.

'U can never disturb me Cheeku. And u know u can come to anytime' said Mahi

'I just couldn't sleep so I came' said Virat getting up.

'U sure ? Nothing else is bothering u right' asked Mahi.

'Nothing else.' Said Virat hiding his worry.

'Chalo then let's go for breakfast after freshening up' said Mahi and Virat went into his room.

In Rohit's room -

They had woken up. 'Bhai u okay na now ?' Asked Shrey to Rohit.

'Yes Shreyas. I am okay now' said Rohit.

'Bhai please stop worrying urself about everything. It is really affecting u so much. Sleeping pills toh thik tha yesterday doctor had to give u an injection. Please bhai we cannot see u like this' said Jassi emotionally.

'I am really sorry Jassi. I will try my best to avoid whatever is causing this. I promise' said Rohit side hugging him.

'Bhai u know u have to answer to Virat bhai if he asks .. we cannot lie to him so much.' Said Shreyas

'Yes I know Shrey .. but we can try to avoid and hide as much as possible' said Rohit.

Jassi was gonna say something but stopped hearing the knock on the door.

'Ro it's me Virat' said Virat from outside preparing himself for another lie what is gonna come today.

Jassi opened the door and welcomed him inside.
'I have to knock now everytime ur room Jassi .. u need alone time now eh ?' Said Virat in a playful tone hiding all the hurt he was feeling due to ignorance.

'Nahi bhai Aisa kuch nahi hai .. Shrey locked the door yesterday.' Said Jassi.

'Galti se hua Vi door lock' said Rohit not wanting the kids to lie more on his behalf

'Ya I understand... I came yesterday night to meet u Ro but the door was locked so I asked' said Virat.

'No it's all because of me bhai .. I locked the door by mistake when I came to sleep in here' said Shreyas covering up.

'No worries Shrey' said Virat smiling.

'Chale phir breakfast karne' said Rohit.

'Ha chalo' said Virat looking at Rohit demanding for so many answers but Rohit just avoided looking at him which hurted Virat a lot.

As he expected Shreyas and Jassi sat beside Rohit. He was just observing all this things trying to figure out what was actually going on.

Virat throughout the breakfast just saw how Shreyas was holding Rohit's hand sometimes saying him something which would calm Rohit. He could see Rohit's expression changing.

How Jassi was ensuring that he eats properly.

'Cheeku breakfast toh kar le' said Mahi seeing him leaving without touching his food.

Virat went to Rohit's room and stood outside to listen to what they were discussing. He didn't mean that but he was going crazy to know what was wrong exactly.

'Bhai aapko Virat bhai se baat karni hi padhegi .. aap notice kar rahe ho na how he is finding ways to spend time with u' said Shreyas.

'Ha bhai and it doesn't feel good to lie to him' said Jassi being guilty.

'I know .. but I can't Shreyas. Whenever I try To talk to him everything is hitting at me .. whatever I am feeling right now .. the trolls, the comparisons and the insecurities... I can't for sometime till this passes' said Rohit.

'Bhai if gets to know that u are getting panic attacks and sleeping pills which u are taking .. he is gonna feel really bad' said Jassi.

'I know Jassi but how do I tell him that it's related to him... that is gonna hurt him a lot then I can imagine' said Rohit.

That just hit Virat hard. Rohit was suffering so much and it was because of him. He was the reason of this .. I am the reason due to which my best friend is suffering.

Virat just don't know where to go. He went to terrace and just sat there thinking about whatever he heard.

'How he could not see this ? Was he too occupied with his problems that he didn't pay attention to Rohit ? And the comparisons and trolls are getting to him means whenever he looks at me that's what Rohit thinks?
I didn't give him any other reasons to be happy .. what kind of best friend am I ? Who gives the other only pain'
