Seeing the long line for books in Diagon Alley, Blair sighed. "I cannot believe that the school hired this idiot. The Dark - your father was very upset. You won't be learning anything this year in Lockhart's class." Blair refrained from saying 'the Dark Lord.' The last thing he needed was revealing that Lord Voldemort was still alive.

"Well, it gives me more time to focus on the mission." Percy said, and Blair nodded.

"I suppose. How about this. I'll drop you off at Borgin and Burkes so you can do your shopping that you wanted, and I'll come back and wait in line for your books. Yes?"

"Sure, sounds good." Percy agreed, and the two walked off to Knockturn Alley.

Percy waved goodbye to Blair as he stepped inside the shop. His eyes widened to see that he was not alone - Draco Malfoy was there as well, accompanied by his father.

"Though if his school marks don't pick up, that may indeed be all he is fit for." Lucius said coldly to his son.

"It's not my fault." Draco retorted. "The teachers all have favourites, that Hermione Granger and that Perseus Riddle-"

"Young Master Riddle!" Borgin noticed Percy walking up to the counter with a look of distaste on his face.

"Riddle? What are you doing here?" Draco sneered at Percy, to which Lucius sucked in a breath nervously. He pushed Draco back with his wand holster, stepping in front of him.

"Be nice, Draco. This is one of your fellow Slytherins, am I correct?"

Draco huffed in annoyance, mad that Percy was so obviously better than him. Percy ignored him, turning his stare to Lucius instead. "Are you finished?"

The elder Malfoy smiled shakily. "Yes, just about."

"Good." Percy hummed, taking in the rest of the shop as he waited for Lucius to finish.

He frowned.

Something was off.

His powers, which he kept activated at all times, informed him that there were five people in Borgin and Burkes, not four. And while it could have been Burke, he was away on a trip, Percy knew that.

The person was hiding in the crushing cabinet behind Draco. Percy could tell by the blood flow in the room that the person was incredibly nervous.

Someone's not supposed to be here, huh? Percy thought.

But just as he was about to investigate, Lucius finished up with Borgin. "Come, Draco!" Percy stared at Lucius as the younger Malfoy hurried to follow him out of the shop. As far as he knew, the Malfoy's hadn't purchased anything, and yet Lucius clutched a small, black and beaten journal in his grasp.

Percy walked up to the counter, pushing the image of the book to the back of his mind. It was probably nothing.

"Hello, young Master Riddle. What can I do for you?"

"I'd like the Hand of Glory and a box of Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder. The finer the better." He told Borgin.

Borgin nodded, leaning down and grabbing a snuff box. "Will you pay now or will you mail?"

"I have enough here." Percy said, putting a bag of galleons on the table. "I believe that should be enough."

Borgin glanced in the bag, his eyes widening. "I... yes... this is more than enough... so generous, young Master Riddle..."

He tucked the money away as he packed up the hand and box of powder in paper wrapping before handing it back to him. Even though Percy may have no need for these items, they would be handy to keep on him for a quick get away. The Hand of Glory, once shrunken, could be easily tucked in his pockets. "Here. Please, come again."
