you were playing alone in the sandbox while the others were busy cooped up in a large group. something about a kid with a new bike was busy flexing.
it was lonesome but it was better than being around too many people and being too loud. plus, you liked peace that way ever since the kids your age started making a big deal about having quirks.
coincidentally— or not, the one who got a new bike is the one who showed having their quirks first. so naturally he became quite popular among other kids.
yours appeared the next day but it wasn't as much a deal since you practically ignored everyone right after. for you, their attention was unnecessary and loud... and you hated noise.
"that looks amazing, [l/n]-san."
your head snapped upwards when you heard a voice talking to you. blush rushing to the apples of your cheeks when your eyes landed on his ruby eyes.
those alluring, kind eyes that seem to capture yours every time your eyes met them. they were the perfect shade of red, one that you loved so much.
you were only four at that time and you knew just how deep that means. in fact, you knew that love is deeper than any feeling or emotion you have felt, but you were already attached to his eyes to ponder.
those red eyes that reminded you of blood, anger, passion, and courage.
it reminded you of kirishima eijiro.
it was funny to anyone else who would have heard you because the owner of those eyes was him.
you noticed how passionate and courageous he was even though he was more timid than other kids.
but not for you. you noticed how his eyes light up when he talks about something he likes, how passionate he is when he talks about his dreams, and how he has to be manly and courageous to achieve them.
and now...
he was sitting in front of you. talking to you.
yeah. you stammered so much you decided not to talk and just nodded your head, lowering your gaze to avoid his alluring contact.
you saw his lips turning upwards, turning into a grin as he pointed to your bright red shovel.
"can i join?"
you nodded again and offered the shovel to him before turning into silence as you two finished the little castle you were trying to make.
"AHHH--! WATCH OUT--!"
kirishima was quick to his feet and jumped towards you, tackling you to the ground. this led to you falling off the sandbox to the cemented floor of the park, which was still moist from the rain last night, but you couldn't think about it because of the weight on top of you and the stinging sensation on your back.
"are you okay?"
your eyes were still wide open when you looked towards his. you sat there momentarily frozen from fear and astonishment and instantly it vanished when your eyes met his.
his crimson orbs staring at you with so much worry you instantly felt guilty for something even though you did nothing.
your eyes then started tearing up.
"a-ah, no! wait—! don't cry! are you hurt?! oh, dear!" little kirishima panicked, hands going everywhere around the air around him as he tried his best to figure out what was happening.
you sniffed but then your eyes landed on his clean palms. you were sure it should have grazed him so you wondered why there wasn't any dirt or anything color red because of the impact.
so you blinked your tears away and focused your vision, gasping at the sight of his hand.
"woah! kirishima-kun, cool quirk!"
but kirishima glared at the boy who spoke. "you should apologize to [l/n]-san first, dude! that was so unmanly!"
the boy sweatdropped, scratching the back of his head. "gomen, [l/n]-chan."
you frowned a little before nodding, which he returned with his own before turning around and quickly left with his bike, his friends gathered around him instantly when he returned to them.
"are you really okay, [l/n]—?"
"kirishima-kun, thank you! if it wasn't for you, i would have probably been injured so thank you."
you bowed a ninety-degree in front of him causing him to fluster. the first and longest time you talked— you actually talked to him! of course, he'll be flustered. he really thought that you were very picky with who you hang out with so this took him aback.
immediately he started shaking his hands in between you before pulling you back up from your position. "you don't have to bow, you know."
kirishima sweatdropped when you timidly nodded back.
"thank you."
"don't mind! plus! it wouldn't be manly of me to not save you!" as if he's made up his mind and fixed his resolve. "and because of this, my quirk showed..."
"i swear with this quirk, i will always save you. pierce my heart and hope to die!"
eh?
pierce?
so extreme.
scary, kirshima-kun. you're scary.
the reason why you can't remember him exactly is that you were only four years old and you moved away to train your quirk. lolz adding some drama for the hell of it. still, you know what had happened, you remember his name, and you remember his eyes. but you can't remember his face.
thank you for reading heart pierced!
until next time!
