Cora's POV

My moms laughter filled the small room as I told her about Peeta.

I sipped on my tea and felt so content. The sun had gone down a couple of hours ago but my mom and I could talk for years.

"Enough about the triplets and Christian. Tell me about you, Cora." She said, putting her hand on my knee.

"I'm fine mom,I'm great" I told her, I wish I came a week ago when Christian kissed me for the first time.

Before the boys were in a coma.

"No, something is off. Is he mean to you? Because if he is-"

"Mom , he's...he's it's unexplainable. I think I really do love him" I sighed.

"Then what's wrong"

"Well he was out... you know working. I have a guard and the guards kids as you know the triplets were home with me. We decided to go swimming but I guess it knowingly slipped our minds to let their dad know we were leaving. We went really far out and a bunch of vampires came there and attacked the boys."

"Oh my-"

"It gets worse...the man threatened to take me, and it's the same vampire that killed the triplets mom, Christians late older sister." I exhaled.

"Oh dear Cora...that all sounds awful"

"Yeah, tell me about it. Christian hasn't spoken to me since..."

"Well you hurt the poor guys pride. I mean have you seen the fellow?"

"What..mum Ofcourse it's not that" I rolled my eyes

She smacked me almost instantly

"Hey! I know that I'm right. Just tell him it wasn't his fault and it'll all be okay"

"It isn't that simple"

"Oh but it is"

"Ughhhhhh" I groaned "mom you always think you know everything" I whined.

"I'm off to bed, you're helping me prepare breakfast tomorrow. Your hands have gotten too soft"

"Shoot me, now" I said, my mom collected the cups and went off to the kitchen. Leaving me alone to my thoughts.

His fault? He doesn't think that does he.

I stood up, lemme go find him. I searched almost everywhere, trying to avoid any people. I'd just about given up when I saw him out of a window. He was standing by the pool.

I opened the door and let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in. "Well, here goes nothing"

I walked up to him and stood next to him. "Hey" I smiled.

Though he didn't reply. I sighed, rocking back and forth, swaying my arms nervously.

"You know Christian I'm sorry I went out without telling you or Keth. I didn't mean to upset you. We just wanted to go for a swim, I didn't think it would lead to that. I didn't even know vampires existed but of course the first one I run into is a blood sucking asshole who killed your sister, AND THEIR MOTHER, and Keth's mate, goddess. The last thing I wanted was for the boys to be in a coma and I just...ugh I just want you to stop being so cold, let me in, talk to me" I rushed out all in one. I stared up at him, he still wouldn't look at me.

I hugged him, and felt so relieved when he hugged back. I tucked my nose into the nape of his neck feeling at home, inhaling his scent.

"Kaldun and I have a habit of taking away everything the other loves...he took from me, I took from him, it really is a fucked situation. I should've just killed him...and now he's back again. But there's no fucking way I'm letting him take you" Christian said into my ear.

I put my hands on his cheeks and smiled a little, before I pecked his lips softly.

I let go of him, walking inside since it was very chilly outside with the mindset that he'd follow.

He grabbed my wrist, pulling me back into him. "A peck?" He said before he kissed me. Well, a real kiss.

Christian grabbed my ass lifting me, so I wrapped my legs around his waist for support.

My hands were at the back of his neck, playing with the hairs there. I moaned when he bit my bottom lip.

"Christiannn" I dragged when nibbled on my mark.

"Please, do get a room you two"

I gasped, almost losing balance that's how fast I jumped down.

Christian growled at Alpha Nathan who had just walked in.

I shyed away, trying my best to hide behind Christian's figure. That's the amount of embarrassment I felt at the moment.

"It's funny, she was serving me drinks just a couple of months ago" Nathan chuckled.

"Nathan. How kind of you to interrupt" Christian snapped.

"Sorry. Couldn't sleep, Cora moans too loud" Nathan laughed

Christian took a step forward, growling in an animalistic way.

"Calm down, old friend. I was only joking." The man continued to laugh.

Christian grabbed my hand, walking into the house I looked down whilst we were passing Nathan. Though it's as if it all happened in slow motion, that dick slapped my ass. I was halfway through my gasp before Christian tackled him. They were on the ground fighting. Throwing punches, it was so violent I could barely move. I wanted to yell, say stop. But a part of me wanted Christian to hit him...just maybe not that hard. I wanted to grab his arm but I couldn't make out which arm was his. "Christian! Stop it!" I yelled. Like any other girl when a guy gets in a fight for them.

"Christian! Please! Stop it!" I continued, this was bad really bad. It won't be long before Nathan's men are here. He'll be out numbered.

I reached into the chaotic rumble of the two alphas but before my hand could grab one of them, my mom pulled me back. "Are you crazy! You'll get hurt" she scolded

"That was the point, then he'd stop" I yelled back.

It was too late they had shifted , they were visually biting chunks out of eachother. This was fucking crazy. "CHRISTIAN LEDGER!"

Then there was white, just white.
