1 year later

"oh my god... they should get married."

"mingyu! they kidnapped us!"

"shh!"

seungcheol gave his employees death stares. in a theatre, noisy people are not very appreciated and are usually kicked out if they don't listen after getting told off one time. seungcheol needs to make sure that they don't collectively stain the company's image by causing ruckus in a classical music concert.

at the stage, was wonwoo soulfully playing a violin solo that he had written. behind him was a pianist who came from another country, masterfully creating music through his fingertips.

minghao had received a verb apology from junhui, and that was good. but, that wasn't the real apology minghao longed for. it was this, showing that junhui had something he loved to do, and never going back to his old ways.

"i forgive you," minghao whispered.

he forgave so easily. but, minghao believes, that he shouldn't hold a grudge. he has had his revenge, and he promised himself to keep treading on to the surface. he has no reason to go back to the deep depths and revisit the darkness there once more; he's only looking for suffocation if he does that.

by forgiving junhui, he is not the only one treading upwards to the surface. junhui, too. and all the other people he cares about won't get dragged to the deep depths of minghao's past, wherein they don't belong.

the concert ends. applause starts, and there was a smile on minghao's face that reminded mingyu of spring.

unexpectedly, as the performers were bowing to the audience, the pianist pulls out an unidentifiable trinket from his pocket, and kneels in front of the violinist.
