C H A P T E R - 2 : Little Hope High
"She had painted his life in colourful rainbows,
When her own life was a shade of grey."
As they entered, Manik guided Nandini to one of their vacant rooms kept for the guests.
He didn't wanted to intrude her personal space until she permits him. Her every lie was clouding his mind with severe possibilities of her weird behaviour.
She needed some time, and he assured himself to allow her to do what's needful.
"Here, go ahead and take a shower." He said pointing towards a door, she assumed as the bathroom spacebar.
"I'll look for some clothes, by the time you get out. You can set the ones you have on now on the sink." He added further setting the bed covers in the room, keeping all of it tidy.
He didn't looked at her after the words they exchanged in the compound, she noted.
He didn't appeared tensed for she being there but did he got furious for something or the other ?
She thought to figure it out later.
Replying with a single nod, she cautiously made her way towards the bathroom.
The bathroom, unsurprisingly wasn't much bigger. It was clamping silence. It was comfortable.
Another frosted satin glass door and the tall spacious shower came into her view. Steps ahead across that was a marble sink and the mirror that covered the entire space of the wall above it.
She didn't flinched as she saw her own reflection. Her hairs were a mess as it hadn't been brushed in a while.
Then her eyes focused on her face, hazel eyes starring back at her. Dark circles painted under them. More freckles had spread across her pale nose and cheeks from the last time she remembered seeing her face with that attention. Her lips seemed to lost their colour.
Her tender skin was obvious with the dirt sticking on it, just as she concluded nagging herself.
She looked away with a sigh and made her way under the shower.
Her pyjamas got rid of her lower half just before she pulled out her t-shirt. She stood under the shower exposing her bare body to the insides of walls which reminded her of her upcoming events until then she stopped thinking about them.
It all felt like a pause to her life. Starring nothing at particular she stayed longer for a while, letting it all undone her. She had already had enough.
She was safe here where no one could judge her, she nodded with the visual thought of it.

Manik headed to his room lost in her woods, he was missing the Nandini- he loved and the girl visited his home was Nandini for sure but wasn't the one he knew.
It was another twenty mins they met, of course there were the tints of excitement but then the usual madness went missing.
She had went for some shower and would take an eternity till he find some casuals for her to put on, he thought.
In the valleys of hearts both knew how much they craved for each other. Nothing much physical but the level of bonding they share had became unbreakable, as if no one could break it until they on their own decides to destroy themselves by parting away.
And the fact is, nothing lasts forever !
From a mere acquaintance in her class, to her friend, best friend, boy friend and then her whole world. The time clock had brought them too closer to understand the agony of falling apart.
