"Y/N. You look different. . ." the pale haired person spoke. Their soft features were retorted in shock as they looked at me up and down.

"I could say the same to you! But a good difference of course. What may I refer you as . . . ?" I said as they led me inside, closing the door behind me. Their light eyes stared into my own, "Marjorine. I like to be referred as that." she said with a small smile.

I nodded and pulled her into a hug, she returing it before we both pulled away. "You look good though, you aged well."

"You too! I almost didn't recognize you, Y/N. You look entirely different from your brother."

"Yeah, well. You know his dad isn't exactly mine as well since Liane was . . . Whoring around. Hence why I'm not exactly like him skin wise." I muttered, it was only true. Somehow those genetics got mixed up with one another so I and Eric weren't entirely the same.

"Silly! I didn't mean like that, I meant you look more mature!" she said with her high voice, my mouth was slightly agape as I understood what she was saying.

"Oh, Well. Thank you, Marjorine!"

"So . . . What have you been up to?" I spoke as I followed her to the kitchen, I assume she was still living with her parents. Though I couldn't see them anywhere.

She opened the fridge and turned her head slightly to me, "I actually found a great way to make a income! Would you like to invest, actually?"

Invest? No. I had to focus on my current situation, college, Kenny and I's apartment.

"No Thanks, Marjorine." I said politely, she simply nodded and pulled out a carton of juice. She made her way to the cupboards and started pouring us both some juice. I leaned over the counter and stared at her curiously.

"What about you, Y/N? What have you been doing?"

"Nothing special. Only college, attempting to maybe be an librarian or a writer . . . Where's your parents?" I said as I sat down near the counter, Marjorine did the same.

We sat across one another and she slid the glass of juice over to me, I nodded my head in thanks.

"I don't know where my Dad is but Mom's in the mental institution . . ."

Linda Stotch? In the mental institution? I always knew that woman was a bit off. My eyes were a bit widened before they became lidded once again.

"Oh. Wow, alright. You dating anyone?" I started, leaning in as I wiggled my eyebrows a bit. Marjorine blushed and looked to her side, "No . . . Dating isn't really my thing." she replied, I hummed at her response as I sipped from my glass.

How did she and I get so distant, we use to be good friends or good enough friends.

"Are you and Kenny still a thing?" she softly asked as she kept her eyes on her glass,

"Yeah! We live together actually. " I replied as a laughed a bit. Feeling quite bashful at the thought of Kenny. She hummed.

"Hey . . . How's your brother?" Marjorine inquired. I looked back in thought,

"He's alright I think. He hasn't told me or anyone quite what he's up to . . . I hope it's nothing bad because he should seriously take his life serious other wise he'd end up on the streets!" I ranted. No one knew what was going on with him, he spoke to no one about what he was doing and he was slowly becoming different.

He was starting to not be as bad as he use to be, which was odd. There's one thing I knew though, he was still living with Mom and he was jobless. I asked him if he has thought of joining college or something but he never responded - instead he'd change the subject.

Marjorine nodded, "Well, I hope he has a plan. You know how secretive Eric can be."

"Heh. I hope he has a plan, too."

If I should, I would totally rate that meet up a 9/10. It was perfectly tame and not that awkward . . .

I sighed as I turned on the radio in my car, I haven't heard anything yet of Kenny, I started to wonder what he was up to. It was odd that they all just randomly decided to meet up, they never did that.

Perhaps they all just plainly missed one another, even though they all acted odd. They were all quite odd after the whole Covid ordeal, I really didn't know if something happened between them all but I guess it wasn't my place to get into their business.

As I said, I never really hung out with them so I didn't know much of their friendship lore.

I should visit my Mom some time, poor Liane. I recall the day Eric made her lose a very important job, causing her to continue being a whore for money and whatnot. Plus the shitty house they had to get because of that. I secretly hated Eric for that whole situation ever since.

I turned off the engine as I stopped in the parking lot near the apartment. The radio faded away and my eyes roamed the outside world through the car windows and rear view mirror.

Looking over to Winona's house my brow quirked, seeing a man enter her building, I shook my head and loosened my seatbelt. Grudging my way to my front door . . .
