Officially passed her existential crisis phase, Alice picked up where she had left off in her studies. Her sense of worth was still shaky at best and her confusion about people was even worse, but she had learned two crucial things in her time of dread:

(1) this world was real to her. What she made of it mattered. And she wanted to make sure she used her knowledge to help it become something beautiful. 'Live well' but on a larger scale for everyone around her.

(2) until she was shown the reason why, it was pointless thinking about why she was brought back to life. And thinking about it only made her go insane from all the catch 22s.

Working on her magic and focusing on ways she could create an even better world, she continued to work hard. And as the month reached an end, she knew she shouldn't avoid it anymore.

Prince Narcisse's assassination.

While it was only in a little less than seven years, the powers that funded and encouraged the rebellion were people that had slowly accumulated over the years. While it was possible that removing Godric from the palace was the best means to stop a rebellion in his name, she had already heard from Lucy that he'd gotten hired as a royal guard. And besides, the rebellion could have been under any royal blood's name—at least she knew Godric and was able to get close.

Now that Lucy was going to be wed to the prince, it was her life at risk, too. She wouldn't let Lucy be harmed because she was too scared to face Narcisse.

She had to face her uncomfortableness, head on, for Lucy.
