One Week Before Quidditch Cup
Y/N is sitting in her room in the early morning, waiting for her parents to return from the ministry. She's reading a book when she hears the sound of her parents walking through the front door. Y/N walks down the hall to say hello to them, but is met by something unexpected.
"Y/N! Thank goodness you're awake. Come on, you need to pack now!" Her father rushes.
Y/N is confused. "What, it's six in the morning. What are you talking about."
They rush up the stairs as her mother says. "There's no time to explain. You need to get packing everything for Hogwarts."
They rush her down the hall. "That makes no sense. Hogwarts is over two weeks away. We haven't even gone to the Quidditch Cup yet."
"Y/N, there's no time."
She finally gives in. "Fine, I'll go pack."
The two of them run to their room and presumably do the same. Y/N pulls her trunk out from under her bed and lies it open on top of it. She grabs her wand and aims it at the closet.
The doors open and clothes begins flying over to her. From her uniform to multiple different tops and pants, she's packing it. Y/N chooses her favorites of the bunch to take with her and thinks about what's going on.
Why would her parents come home from the ministry so late at night. Why would they continue to rush her into packing a bunch of clothes specifically for Hogwarts a week in advance. Could this be some sort of trick? An emergency? Or could it be...
Y/N walks into her parents room and asks. "Where are we going? Is this a ministry assignment? What country are we going to?"
"Not you, us." Her mother tells her.
"Then why in Godric's name am I packing?!"
Her father comes out from their closet. "Because you're going to the Weasley's."
She's shocked. "What?"
"We can't leave you here alone after we've rushed out in the middle of the night. We already spoke with Arthur. So please, just pack." Her mother explains.
"Where are you going?"
Her dad sighs. "We're headed to Norway. We're being sent on an emergency peacekeeping mission between them and Finland. We need to get there as fast as we can before a war breaks out. Now please, GO PACK."
Y/N nods and rushes back to her room. Despite being tired, she knows this is serious. If there's a threat of a war, she knows that there is no better time than now to obey her parents wishes.
When Y/N gets back to her room, she finds her clothes still floating across the room and into her suitcase. She waves her wand to stop the line and the rest of them fly back to where they came from. She looks into her luggage to find a good selection of clothes for the school year. Y/N then continues her packing by adding her books and some other things to the suit case.
"Crap."
She realizes that not everything is fitting in and remembers a spell she read about.
Y/N points her wand at the books and says. "Diminuendo."
She watches as her books shrink to a small size inside her luggage and has brilliant idea. Y/N looks to her supplies for making clothes and realizes that she could continue her hobby at Hogwarts.
