Eventually, they got all the books needed including A History of Magic, Magical Theory, A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration, One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi, Magical Drafts and Potions, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and finally, The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection.

"Okay, that's finally done. So, now we can move on to quills. Which we'll find those at Amanuensis Quills!" Her mother stated after paying. They walked out of the bookstore quickly; there were still many stores to go.

They got 3 packs of quills, and 2 black ink bottles. Now it was time for her robes and uniform.

"We will find your robes and uniform at Madam Malkin's Robes." Her mother said with a nod.

They started the walk there and soon made it to the clothing store, going inside.

"Okay, let's see... you need three sets of plain black robes, one plain pointed black hat, a pair of protective gloves, a winter cloak, and, of course, the uniform." Her mother concluded, looking away from the list at Charlotte, who was smiling at the thought of getting her own Hogwarts school uniform.

They tried on several robes until they found one that fit just right. Charlotte would have never found the right size, though, without the help of the store's magic mirror that gave little quips and comments about the robes. Same for the hat, gloves, cloak, and uniform. Charlotte's mother packed away all the new items in the spare suitcase Charlotte had put on her cart. The cart now held all her new books and her other belongings from home.

Once they were finished in the robes shop, her mother checked the time.

"Goodness gracious! This has taken much longer than expected! I'm sorry darling, but in order to get to the train on time we'll need to split the rest of the list. You can go to Ollivander's for your wand. You shouldn't need me in there; Mr. Ollivander will help you find your perfect match."

"Okay... what will you get?" Charlotte asked.

"Well, I'll get the cauldron and potion ingredients. Now, be careful Charlotte, don't wander off. Follow the path the map tells you, and after you're done with your wand, meet me at Eeylops Owl Emporium." Her mother informed.

"I will mum," Charlotte assured.

"Okay, now let's get started. We don't have time to waste!" Her mother exclaimed.

They parted ways, and Charlotte started on her walk to Ollivander's. Honestly, this was the item on the list she was most excited for. She had always wanted a wand of her own.

Soon enough, she arrived at Ollivander's. She pushed the door open and walked in. The bell above the door jingled, alerting anyone in the store of her presence. As soon as she walked in, she noticed a boy about her age already staring at her.

She stared back; taking notice of his raven black hair and taped up glasses. Though, she didn't know the boy was observing her as well. He took attention to her hazel eyes and wavy, brunette hair.

They both could feel something. Something... different. Almost like a different energy in the air. They continued to stare until Mr. Ollivander spoke up.

"Why, hello, Ms. Whitlock. I've been expecting you." Ollivander smiled.

Charlotte broke eye contact with the strange boy and grinned back at the older man. She had heard quite a few things about Mr. Ollivander and was excited to finally meet him.

"Now, I must finish up with young Harry here, but when I'm done, we'll find you a wand." He said kindly.

So that was his name. Harry. She'd have to remember that.
