bahiyyih told me she wanted to talk to me today. this whole week i'd been stressing about this moment, thinking about it every minute, fearing this exact moment.

"so now that we're here hikaru, i have to tell you something." bahiyyih said with tears built up in her eyes. "i'm moving away." she said. i stared at her and started to cry. "what? why? why didn't you just tell me before?" i said. "i didn't want to see you like this." we cried in each others arms and not saying a word the entire time. this was really it. the last day we'd see each other again.
