(besties imma speedrun this shit)
You guys finally arrived at the airport. Ten was still dead asleep and Jaehyun was contemplating buying some coffee for you guys. You sat patiently at the airport bench, occasionally glancing at the sleeping male beside you. You stared at the gates, waiting for your dear mother to finally show up. It was soon going to be 2:30 in the morning and your mother was still nowhere to be seen. Ten even woke up and Jaehyun finally brought warm beverages. Your brother reassured you that maybe her flight got delayed a bit.
Soon 3 am hit the clock, and still no sight of your mother. Jaehyun started worrying and Ten spoke to an airport staff asking what seems to be the issue. The airport staff responded that the flight was having some issues with one of the passengers. Ten nodded and finally told Jaehyun. Jaehyun finally stopped worrying less. You went next to him and said, "Stop worrying so much! At this rate, you will have white hair and be an old hag. I don't want Taeyong to take care of an old guy"
Jaehyun slightly glared at you while Ten was chuckling. You quickly mumbled your sorries while stifling a laugh. Suddenly, the gates finally opened which revealed the jetlag passengers on the flight. Your eyes quickly scan the crowd in hopes of seeing her. You finally see her, in a dazed state with her messy hair and dragging her red suitcase. You run to her, slightly catching her off guard but soon hugging you back.
What none of the Jung siblings could notice was that in the background, a hitman was waiting to strike. He would have struck you the moment you entered the damn airport but he couldn't. He felt you should at least see your mother one last time before you die of an unfair death. Even when you finally broke off the long hug with your mother, he still couldn't shoot you. But he had to. For the sake of his struggling wife, starving children, and miserable life. As he was about to aim, he was tackled down harshly by a nearby cop. The cop was noticing that the man was suspiciously eying you and was trying to aim something at you. He arrested the man but the man was smiling. He didn't kill you at least.
At around 3 in the morning, the now reunited Jung family and Ten set their way to their home. As you returned to your home now with your mother, the small party you organized for her has finally started. She was beyond amazed to see the house fully decorated and fully cleaned. She sat down on the couch
And finally felt her muscles relax. She finally felt that she was at home. After the party which was a great success, you finally went to sleep and was ready to start school on monday. Soon monday rolled around and within the blink of any eye, you were ready for school. This time your mom dropped you off to school.
When you stepped inside of the school premises, after bidding goodbye at your mother everything felt different. You shrugged that feeling off and proceeded to walk to your class. When you arrived at your class, no one spared a glance at you. Weird you thought. After that karaoke mess, you were always the center of attention.
You sat down at your seat and noticed Ema wasn't staring at you. Everytime you glanced at her, hearts were always seen in her eyes. This time when you looked at her, she look plainly bored.
Did the spell wear off? You thought to yourself. An hour had passed and that weird feeling still kept lingering around you. Then it clicked. The spell wore off. You vaguely remember what your friend told you after singing the song. The spell will randomly wear off at midnight at any day, You recall your friend telling you that. Now it all makes sense that everyone was treating you like a ghost.
Recess rolled by and you went to the secluded area of the endemic garden to relax a bit. It was a lot to digest in. You started reading your book and didn't realise that someone sat beside you.
You glanced beside you and realised it was Aeri. She looked a bit awestruck as you realised she was next to you.Awkwardness filled the atmosphere quickly. You proceeded to speak,
-"So you don't dislike me?"
Aeri nodded her head to a no and responded to your following questions,
-"Why would I dislike you? You were heavily misunderstood."
You smiled truthly and enjoyed her company on that bench.
At the end of the day

General Fictionwarning: grammar mistakes I will try to make y/n as gernderfluid as I can *time for the y/n cringe* y/n was your local average student. Not making themselves involved in drama and having a small circle of peers was their bucket list of high school...
