Yujin: Jahoon unnie!
I turned around to see Yujin running towards me. I stood still with a blank face as I watched her with her hands on her knees trying to catch her breath.
Jahoon: Do you need help? Water?
Yujin: I'm fine... I'm athletic, you know.
Jahoon: Right...
After a while, she finally came back to herself. She stood straight back up and looked at me with a wide smile.
Jahoon: So tell me, why did you stop me, and why are you out of breath like that?
Yujin: I was walking to school when I saw you unnie and then I got a great idea! Why not walk together to school?! Then it won't be that boring and also we can get to know each other more since we are seatmates after all.
Jahoon: Well... I'm not that interesting kind of a person but.... suit yourself.
I continued walking towards the school. I could feel her walking behind me with her eyes digging into my back. I turned around to look at her, seeing her stare back at me with wide eyes and a wide smile. It kind of reminds me of a small puppy following its owner.
Jahoon: Well, if you want to walk with me, I think that it would be better if you walked beside me instead of behind me because right now you are reminding me of a stalker.
Yujin: Oh right! That is actually a great idea, unnie! I knew already from the first look that you were smart, unnie.
Yujin walked to stand beside me. We then continued walking towards the school while Yujin kept talking about what she did yesterday as I occasionally glanced towards her and replied to her questions.
Jahoon: *mumbles* Are you a puppy or a human?
Yujin: Did you say something, unnie?
Yujin leaned her face closer to me but it was just a few inches away from mine.
Jahoon: Nothing. Nothing at all.
I quickly walked forward as I could feel myself getting hot and my heartbeat a little faster than normal. Maybe it is just because I'm walking fast? Whatever it was, I was already standing in front of the school gate with Yujin tailing behind me. As we both entered the classroom, I noticed my friends staring at us with a weird smirks on their faces. I rolled my eyes at them as I walked over to them while Yujin walked over to sit at her seat.
Kyujin: Looks like you and the new girl is getting quite along with each other.
Jahoon: Well she is a nice girl, so I don't see the reason behind it.
Haewon: Because you usually don't open up and talk with anyone else except us and Jiwon unnie.
Sullyoon: Speaking of Jiwon unnie where is she? You guys usually walk together to school.
Bae: You guys are always seen together. Wherever you or Jiwon are, the other is always there.
Jahoon: Why does it sound like you guys are shipping me with her? That just sounds weird.
Lilly: But we are right tho. You guys are always beside each other. If people didn't know better then they would have thought that you guys were together.
I was about to reply back when the teacher arrived. I stuck my tongue out at the girls and walked over to sit beside Yujin. I could see her stare in front of her. Her expression was a little sad like she was disappointed with something. I leaned over to whisper to her.
Jahoon: Are you alright?
Yujin: Yeah... I'm fine... I think.
Not wanting to bother her anymore, I just shrugged my shoulders and returned my attention back to the teacher, who had begun her lesson.
The school bell finally rang and I stood up from my seat to go to the canteen. As I was about to walk out of the classroom, Yujin stopped me.
Yujin: Jahoon unnie wait!
Yujin was about to walk over to me when she was stopped by a group of boys and girls standing in front of her.
???: Hi! My name is XXXX! Let's go and eat at the cafe together!
???2: Yeah! We eat to know you better!
I looked at Yujin, who was puzzled about what she was going to do. She looked at me with knitted eyebrows and a pout like she was asking me for help. I just sighed and left her there before walking away to the canteen. Even though trying to interfere and help her out wasn't an option since she was already considered one of the most popular girls while I... I was just a normal girl that no one would notice except for when my name is called in class. So even if I tried to get near her, I would possibly be pushed away. I got inside the canteen and grabbed my food before scanning the room for my friends. Forgetting that they had some club activities to do and I was going to eat lunch alone, I walked over to an empty table far away from the others and sat down eating my lunch and minding my own business.
???: Look who we have here? Isn't it a nobody? Not even your parents are caring for you.
???2: How pathetic but like I'm even caring.
The group of girls that had come over to me all began laughing at me like I was some laughing stock. One of the girls, probably their leader, walked closer to me and dumped everything that was on my tray onto my head.
???: Let that be a reminder for you to not interact with Yujin. A nobody like you doesn't deserve anything of that at all.
I just stared directly at the table while they all walked away while laughing. I could hear people whispering around me and I could even feel some giving me disgusting glances. I grabbed my stuff and swung my bag over my shoulder before running out of the canteen and out of the school. No one would care after all since I was a nobody after all. No one would notice if I'm gone anyway.
