The next thing I heard was the giggles of the unmated girls. Sinundan ko naman sila ng tingin hanggang sa makaupo sila designated chairs para sa kanila.

"And last but definitely not the least, Her Royal Highness, Princess Emaly Dukes who sponsored the ladies beautiful dresses!"

Huling pumasok ay si Emaly, sporting a very classic beige ballgown, she smiles to everyone. Acquaintance Party ba 'to ng Academy o party niya?

I just rolled my eyes and let my mind wander somewhere. The event started. May nagserve naman sa amin ng nga pagkain kaya habang nagsasalita iyong nasa harapan, nakain kaming mga nakaupo.

I am not wearing my gloves tonight. The black gloves don't go with my style tonight.

Hindi rin naman nagtagal ay nagsimula ng magsayaw ang bawat magkakapareha. This is my chance to go to the Library.

May nagyaya kina Maureen at Eliza na sumayaw. Busy rin ang lahat kaya naman naging madali para sa akin ang umalis doon ng walang nakakapansin.

Hindi naman madilim ang mga pasilyo maybe because is so special to everyone that they've lit every torches.

Even the Library torches are well lit. I found the book where I last put it before I fell asleep.

Umupo ako kaagad doon upang ipagpatuloy ang pagbabasa. Hindi naman madilim kasi ang pwesto ko ay mayroong liwanag mula sa torch. Napansin ko ring pati ang chandelier sa kisame ay may ilaw rin.

I removed my shoes and mask and continue reading the book until I noticed the fireworks outside the window. Agad naman akobg pumunta sa bintana at binuksan ito upang mas makita ko ito ng maayos.

Cold fresh air hugged my warm skin as I open the window. Katapat kasi ng bintana ng Library ang open field kaya kita mo ang mga taong nandoon at pinapanood ang fireworks. A relaxing smell calmed my nerves.

Mas malinaw mo na ring makikita ang buwan. Mas malaki ito kumpara noong nakaraan. Marami ring bituin ang nasa kalangitan ngayon at mukhang pati sila ay nagdiriwang.

I was about to close the window when I saw Prince Adam. He was looking towards my direction. His red orbs were glistening. It wasn't cold anymore.

Because I was staring at him, I saw how he close his eyes. Pumikit lamang din ako saglit, wala na siya sa pwesto niya. That's when I realized something, the smell of white lotus.

I was in my typical clothes and wondered around town. Nakasanayan ko na rin na kung wlang trabaho ay maglilibot sa kabayanan at tignan kung may nagbago ba o wala.

I was about to turn in the left when I bumped into an old lady. She had her broomsticks on her left hand and a basket full of herbs in her right hand. I concluded she's a witch base on her the broomstick she's holding the the hat she was wearing.

Nagkalat ang mga laman ng basket na hawak niya dala ng pagkakabunggo naming sa isa't isa. She was rushing towards my way at hindi ko rin naman siya napansin dahil nga busy akong tumingin-tingin sa paligid.

"Pasensya na po kayo" paghingi ko ng tawad at agad siyang tinulungan na pulutin ang mga nagkalat na laman ng kaniyang basket.

It was very sudden and fast but she held my hand and look directly at my eyes.

"You will know that he is your mate if he smells like a white lotus" she suddenly uttered. Witches sometimes can be possessed by the spirit of the nature. And that time, I think she is.

"Mate? White Lotus? What do you mean?" I asked. And immediately, I smelled something sweet, something that calmed my nerves in an instant. I had to close my eyes so that I could smell it more.

When I opened my eyes, I was the only one left in the street. But what caught my attention was the white flower. And when I smelled it, it was indeed the white lotus.

My mate is here.

Hindi na ako nag-abala pang isarado ang binata. I just grabbed my mask, the book and the shoes I was wearing at agad na nagtungo sa pinto.

This is definitely not the right time for things like this. I have something more important to do than mushy and soft all of a sudden.

But someone was already at the door.

Pagkabukas na pagkabukas ko, inatake ang ilong ko ng pamilyar na amoy. And when I saw who he was, I was deeply rooted in place. I was frozen to the point that I can't even move a finger.

"At last, I found you" he said before he made his way to me and grab me.

His hand found its way to my waist. Dahil sa paghila niya, nabitawan ko ang mga hawak ko. They created a loud sound but he didn't even care about it. When his other hand was already place on my waist, the other caressed my hair. I can feel him sniffing my scent.

I was nervous a while ago. But when he pulled me for a hug and my nostrils were attacked by his scent, I immediately calmed down.

"I was asking who are you and you didn't tell me you were my mate, Sapphire" he said as he continue caressing my hair.

I didn't know, jerk! I just found that out tonight! Curse you, new moon!

Monday came and I heard from Eliza and Maureen that a commotion happened in the party which I ditched. Before I heard such news from them, I recieved a nag. Nalaman kasi nilang tumakas ako para pumunta sa Library at magbasa.

"He really looked like he could kill anyone that moment"

"Nakita ko ngang pumagitna na ang Council kasi grabe talaga yung reaksyon niya"

Maging sa Dining Hall ay iyon ang usapan. Ang nangyaring komosyon sa naturang party.

"Ano bang nagyari?" Tanong ko sa dalawa habang nakain kami.

"That night noong malakas ang senses ng lahat, nagulat na lang kaming lahat when Jacob kissed Princess Alana in fronf of everyone."

"And?"

"Eveyone knows that Aldeson's and Zuma's are really archenemies. Like it was old history already pero nakakagulat pa rin na sina Princess Alana at Jacob na soon to be be Alpha ay mates."

"E bakit nagkagulo?"

"Nandito rin kasi iyong isa niyang pinsang lalaki kaya noong nakita, nagsuntukan na. Wala nga doon si Prince Adam e. Mapipigilan niya sana iyong nangyari"

Upon the mention of his name, I immediately averted my gaze. Naalala ko kasi iyong paghagod niya sa aking buhok. Iyong pasimple niyang pag-amoy dito at ang mga maliliit na halik na iginawad niya.

When he let go of me, agad ko siyang itinulak at tumakbo palayo roon. Naiwan ko nga roon ang mga gamit ko na kinabukasan ay nasa room na namin. Hindi ko na rin tinangka pang lumabas ng silid kasi baka makasalubong ko siya.

It was me who said that I don't need my mate here in the Academy pero ako pa mismo ang kumalma noong hinigit niya papalapit sa kanya. It was a stupid move, Sapphire.

"So as I was saying, bawal raw ang ganoong pag-ibig. There's this prophecy na ang ganoong pag-ibig ay either a way to solve the misunderstanding or to destroy a certain clan." My attention was brought back because of that.

Ah, the prophecy. I heard that a decade ago about the love between two different creatures that would either destroy or save the two.

"Hello, beautiful" someone said which made the two stopped talking or maybe not just Maureen and Eliza. Everyone in the Dining Hall stopped on their track as that someone got their attention.

There's that sweet smell again. It's radiating from behind me. I don't want to move my head. Iniiwasan ko nga e tapos nandyan na naman siya.

Whispers after whispers were heard as he made his way beside me. His right hand made its way to my waist again, pulling me closer to his body.

I could feel his minty breath in my left ear as he lean towards me.

"At last, I found you"
