No denying, I've always liked to play with fire.

Heidi and Lucifer King stood on top of their favourite bridge, watching the cars drive past to go to work, to visit family, to go on holiday. They seem to be an ordinary duo on a day out, but something lurks beneath their facade.
One takes a backpack from his back, opening it. The device stares at them, they stare back at it. The switch was flicked and the red button lights up. To press, or not to press, that is the question.
They make eye contact, wanting the other's approval. Seeing that they both agree, Lucifer pats his smaller partner on the shoulder. Getting the signal, Heidi let's a blood-thirsty smile light up his face. The button was pressed.
They drop the backpack off the bridge, into the middle of the motor way.

Too late to turn back now.

They bolt in the opposite direction to the backpacks they've placed around the area.

The clock is ticking.

The two mumble to eachother, hurriedly trying to plan how to get out.

Five minutes left.

They jump into their get away car and drive off at top speed, way over the speed limit.
"This is the most fun we've had in ages!" Heidi has a large grin on his face and being as said grin is contagious, Lucifer grins too.
"It may be our last for a while though." Lucifer knows that they won't get away this time. He can feel it.

4 minutes left.

The first boom is heard throughout the area, a cloud of fire, smoke and debris looming in the sky.
He puts the accelerator to the floor and they fly down the road, barely a blur.
Heidi just looks out the window at the destruction they've created. Sirens are heard as police swarm the area, six SWAT teams in heavily loaded vehicles on their tail now.

Three minutes left.

Anothor boom goes through the area, rattling the nerves of many as they try to turn and escape. The perpetrators still need to get out of the radius of their bombs. The real car chase begins as Lucifer swerves between cars, they're still behind them.
The six vehicles catch civilians attention easily and the cars clear a path for them. Lucifer's eyes turn from a baby blue to a steel grey as he focuses on the road. Another boom... they're running out of time.

Two minutes.

This time the debris was thrown in front of two SWAT vehicles which stopped them in their tracks. However, the chase continues and they realise that they need to get out. Now. Lucifer grumbles about them being stupid bastards for not coming up with a better plan as he continues to swerve between the cars. They're getting closer to the checkpoint that signals they're out of harm's way.
"Luci, don't worry. We'll be fine."
Another goes off.

One minute left.

Their safety from their own bombs was in sight but they get caged in from the sides and back by the SWAT team. This isn't good.
"Heidi, get ready to run."

The timer hits zero.

Just as they make it to their checkpoint, a final boom was heard as everything in the radius of their bombs was decimated. No one messes with them, especially Heidi, without consequences.
Lucifer unhooks their seat belts and Heidi grabs a bat he kept in the car at all times, smashing the window with it. He breaks away any sharp shards left behind and prepares to jump out and run. Lucifer speeds up and makes a U-turn, skilfully avoiding the vehicles around them. He comes to a sudden stop and they both jump out the car and make a run for it.
They are stopped in their tracks as a cop car appears before them.

Shit.

They stand back to back and prepare for any attacks... but they don't move. Heidi and Lucifer know that this is going to pause their reign of terror for a while and sigh unhappily.

"Sedate them, immediately."

Red and pink darts are shot at them, causing them to rip them out and give each other horrified glances. They don't want to go out this pathetically, with mortified looks plastered on their faces. So instead, they face the cameras of civilians, news reporters and the ones on the officers' bodies. Heidi and Lucifer aren't affected by this chaos, they feel the tension leaves their bodies as they look around for the last time for a while. The air heavy with smoke and debris which causes many to choke, the smell of fire and burnt flesh hangs in the air,the screams and cries of despair rattle off the buildings. Light crackling of multiple little fires puts the duos mind at ease somehow. Though what overshadows all of those noises... is the laughs. The loud, haunting laughs of the perpetrators responsible for such a disaster.

Only, these are known as the Terror Duo. They appeared one day and started wreaking havoc on the world, their DNA and fingerprints collected in every state. Only there's another issue, no one comes up in any data bases.

Who are the Terror Duo?

Where did they come from?

Why do they do this?

Maybe no one but them will ever know.
