'Beep, Beep, Beep' I heard the alarm clock echoing through the room, but I just groaned and turned it off. Then I put my head back into my pillow and went back to sleep. Next time I opened my eyes, it was, because my phone went crazy. When I picked it up, there were like a million messages from Ella and Alex.

Ella:

9:45am

Hey! Good morning! I let you sleep in this morning, because I know classes don't start till 10, but it's 9:45 now and you haven't answered me yet. Are you on your way?

10:00am

Henry?? Are you up??

10:30am

Alex texted me, you didn't show up for class. Henry???

10:35am

Henry?????

Alex:

9:30am

Morning, Henry! You want me to wait in front of class for you?

9:40am

Hello?

9:50am

Where are you Henry?

10:30am

I covered for you in art, but Mr. Conrad expects you to come by later tonight.

10:35am

Text me please. Are you okay?

I groaned. Great! Its 11am now, so there's no point in going to class. I'll just join them at lunch and think of a good excuse why I wasn't there earlier. Late on my second day, that's just awesome.

Me (to Ella):

Hey! Sorry I was asleep till now. Thank god, Alex covered for me. I'll join you guys at lunch. See ya in a little!

Me (to Alex):

Hey! I'm really sorry. I didn't hear my alarm. It would be stupid to come in for the last hour but I'll join you at lunch. Thanks so much for covering for me!!

After texting my friends, I got up and got ready for the day. I took a quick shower and put together a cute outfit. Then I left my room and made my way to the cafeteria. I met up with Ella and Alex. They had already gotten me some food. „You look like shit." Ella shouted at me and pulled back a chair. I sat down and growled at her: „Well, thanks. Exactly what I needed to hear.". „You okay?" Alex asked and I sent them a smile. „I just had trouble sleeping. It's fine. Thanks again for covering for me." I said. „No problem. But don't forget checking in with Mr. Conrad later." They answered and I smiled and nodded. We ate lunch together and I tried to avoid my next class for as long as possible. „If you don't leave now, you'll be late for russian Henry." Ella yelled and I dropped my head on the table. „But I don't want to go..." I whined and they both just chuckled. „It'll be okay. Now go!" They shushed me away and I slowly walked towards the classroom. I walked in the door and to my surprise, I was the last one today. „Nice of you to join us, Ms. Bach." Natasha said with a passive aggressiveness in her tone. „I still got 2 minutes before class starts." I groaned and sat down on my chair next to Jason. He started to talk like a waterfall again. I laid my head on my arms and tried to fall back to sleep. Class seemed to take forever and it was so annoying. I didn't really pay attention to anything „Ms. Romanoff" was saying, but I did feel her stare on me a couple of times. After class I rushed out the room and made my way down to the art block. „Hey stranger! You feeling better?" Matt shouted over to me and I sent him a quick smile. „Yeah! I don't know, but I felt really nauseous this morning. Have you seen Mr. Conrad?" I said and he nodded and led me to the classroom. On the way there, we joked and honestly he made me feel a lot better. „Uh...Henrike, good to see you. Are you feeling better?" He asked me and I smiled at him and nodded. „You wanted to see me, sir?" I then said and he chuckled. „Yes. Of course, here are the worksheets from class today and then I also wanted to tell you, that I'm going to collect everyone's personal sketchbooks on Friday to take a look at your techniques." He said and I nodded again. Then he explained the worksheets to me and afterwards Matt walked me back to my dorm room. I think we are going to become great friends. He's really awesome.
