Marie sat at her desk in her bedroom, staring out the window in hopes William would come back quickly. Bella napped on the bed, stretching and rolling over every now and then, a knock on the door woke the puppy up and had her barking. Marie turned around and saw Lord Cornwallis open the door, Mars and Jupiter walked in along with their master. Once the two danes saw Bella they took off running, Bella chased them down the hall. Despite being half their size, Bella scared the two dogs. Marie rolled her eyes and giggled before turning to Cornwallis. 

"Care to join me and General O'Hara in the drawing room for tea?" He offered, Marie thought about it for a moment before nodding her head. 

"Actually, that sounds rather inviting." She got up, Cornwallis offered his arms, Marie took it and smiled. The two had a beautiful father/daughter relationship, he had always wanted a daughter and he took care of Marie like she was his own. They made it to the room, she sat down as a servant poured a cup of warm tea for the three. 

"My Lord," Marie took a sip of her drink, "Do you know when the Dragoons will be back?" 

"Not for another day or two I'm afraid." Cornwallis said with a curt nod. Marie sighed, she would have to wait a little longer for him then. O'Hara laughs in that British voice of his and smiles. 

"Something amusing, General?" Marie raised, raising an eyebrow.

They were interrupted by Mars and Jupiter bursting through the door, being chased by Bella who yapped and barked at the two bigger dogs. They circled around before leaving the drawing room, Lord Cornwallis sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance. 

"It's just," O'Hara cleared his throat, "It's just that you seem to fancy him. The Colonel." 

"Oh hush!" Marie slapped his arm playfully before blushing slightly. 

"Aha!" O'Hara laughs, "I was correct, he fancies you I've noticed." Marie continues to blush, they finish their tea and Marie retires back to her bedroom, going to her desk and daydreaming about the Colonel.
