Y/n sighed as she heard her parents arguing, 'Here we go again,' she thought to herself. Her hand went over to her nightstand to put in her earbuds hoping to block out some off the noise.
Half an hour passed and by now she had only finished about half the essay due tonight. Y/n's laptop cursor hovered over the noise cancelling option for a few seconds before moving.
CLING!
The noise ran through the living room of her home making her pause for a second. Y/n grabbed her phone and rushed out of her room as casually as possible to find her parents standing on both sides of a pot that fell. Her breathing quickened and she caught her self beginning to feel dizzy, with her hands turning numb. 'They're fighting. She's in the kitchen. Screaming. Yelling. Someone's rocking y/n trying to make her feel better,'  y/n stepped back holding her phone up to replay her music. Her mother saw her and started to walk quickly towards her dizzy self, her father following in the woman's steps both of them carrying a concerned expression. Y/n shook her head the best she could and stepped away from her parents. She grabbed the closest shoes, her favorite sneakers, and left her home for a walk. All while trying to forget about the betrayed look her parents had when she stepped away from them.

'I shouldn't have left,' she thought gnawing on her bottom lip. 'You made the best decision. If they can't understand what Mrs. Fields told them then you have to take action,' y/n's subconscious replied. She shook her head dismissing the thoughts, "This music is too depressing," she mumbled, holding her phone up to change the music to something more soothing. Y/n walked up the hill she spent her childhood on and sat under the tree that sat atop it. She let her eyes rake across the kids in the park, a small smile gracing her face as she let the memories of her childhood come back.
Y/n hummed to the song of her favorite song, letting the wind blow through her h/c hair. She closed her eyes and let her breathing sync in with the breeze.
Her phone buzzed in her hand signaling that she got a notification, 'From o/s,' she read, 'I wonder how o/s's doing,'. She snorted looking at the picture her sibling sent her. Her smile faded as she read the text below it 'wya'. Y/n replied to them telling o/s that she was on a walk to get ideas for her art project. 'I'm sorry, I don't want to lie to you but I think it's best that you focus on college. Besides don't want you getting stressed because of me,' she thought as she saw her o/s typing.
'weathers nice outside over there?' y/n giggled a little.
'well ofc it is Sherlock I wouldn't go outside if its bad' she replied. RIIING!! Y/n smiled and answered her phone, ecastic to talk to o/s.

After talking for a little less than a hour, y/n decided it was time to go home as the sun was setting and hung up with o/s. She stood, dusted her pants off and let her eyes gaze upon a place she spent her childhood at. Y/n's face turned into one of confusion when her eyes went over the lake, leading her to walk down to it.

"How the hell is it empty?" she breathed out looking at an dry lake bed, void of any water. Y/n squinted to see a rabbit in the middle of the dry lake. She looked around and grabbed a couple of rocks to get the poor animal to get out of the lake bed from where she stood. When the rabbit didn't move it became apparent to y/n that the animal was stuck. She shook her head, 'My god here I am acting like a 'y/n' character from wattpad," as she slid down into the lake bed with a stick. Y/n poked the ground in front of her using the stick to determine if she could walk on that area. She poked the dry soil in front her until she reached the poor animal. Y/n squatted to pick the animal up, "Damn why'd you stratch me dude I'm trying to help," she said as a drop of her blood fell onto the dry soil and froze as she saw a brown material on its fur, 'Better not be rabies or some shit,'. "It's mud," she said to herself after stepping back to get away from the damp soil. SQUELCH. Y/n's face paled as she turned to look at why she stepped in mud. Everything was covered in mud. Not a single spot was as dry as it had been when she made her way to the middle. Her panic and confusion only increased as she felt water at her ankles. "Where the hell is this water coming from?!" y/n said in a frenzy before realizing that the water was coming from less than a foot away from her.

"No. Nope. I am not doing this. Not today," she said before attemtping to run to the edge of the no longer dry lake to get out. Her panic only increased as it seemed that she was still suck in the middle of the lake. The rabbit in her panicked as well and jumped from her arms, swimming to the edge. "Oh so his swimming counts and mine doesn't?!" she said looking up to the sky. She grimaced at the feeling of her wet hoodie on her skin, the water now up to her waist and her attempts at leaving being rendered useless. She gasped for air, coming up to the surface of the water only to find that she was still in the middle of the lake. Her eyes began to close, but y/n forced them open. She resorted to floating on her back, and she finally let the exhaustion catch up to her.

Dark. Why is it so dark? "Hello is anyone there?" y/n unsettlement grew as she was met with no response. She was knocked onto the ground as a cold but comforting blast of air blew from the the seemingly endless darkness. When suddenly a bright light came form behind her and dragged her, "Savio-- Prot-- Wo--" only being able to hear half of what someone-- no some people said, y/n was only left more confused than ever.

Y/n coughed, and gasped for air as she felt someone's hand on her back to help her cough the water up. She groggily looked up from the side to the person who saved her only to see a group of people instead. There were four people in total-- the oldest of the group, a man with white spiky hair, and three other teens. One had black hair held back except two front pieces with what seemed was a bandana, another had black hair similar to a buzzcut with small eyes and the man next to her who must have done CPR on y/n had yellow spiky hair. "Oh," she said out loud piecing who these people were before realizing that probably made her look like an idiot and started to thank the people who saved her. It finally hit her when the four of them looked at y/n like she was an idiot. "Great!" she threw her hands up in the air in annoyance, "I'm going to have to learn another language just great." The man next to her spoke to her slowly in a foreign language. Y/n shook her head as if signalling that she can't understand what he's saying. The group of four looked at each other ominously as y/n busied herself in trying to find out why the back of her head felt so cold. She touched the cold spot on her head and winced at the pain and brought her hand back from behind her head. Y/n blinked as she looked at her hand, there was blood. The yellow haired man saw my head injury at this point and spoke to the others while pointing to it. It seemed like they argued at something and y/n stored the phrases she heard in her mind to find out what they meant.
The yellow haired man pointed to himself and said his name to introduce himself to y/n, "Namikaze Minato," y/n gave a small smile to the man who saved her. She turned and looked at the rest of the group as they began to point to themselves and introduce themselves as well. "Jiraiya," the white haired man spoke first. The black haired man next to him with the bandana on his head spoke after him, "Hiroshi Yamada," y/n gave the two men a smile and a little nod. The man known as Minato pointed to the man standing not to far from y/n like he was standing guard and told her his name, "Isamu Akimichi," the said man turned to glance at the girl and waved at her in greeting. Y/n smiled and waved back in response. She felt a hand on her shoulder and turned to see Minato giving her a thumbs up, trying to ask if she was okay. Y/n was about to open her mouth to say "yes" but quickly closed it and settled for a nod. She stifled a yelp as Minato swooped her up into his arms and leapt to the trees. Y/n winced at the cold wind hitting her wound sharply. Minato noticed and looked down at her sympathetically, tucking her head into his chest carefully to cover the exposed wound the man continued on his way. Y/n looked up to the sky, vision blurring more every second. 'Why couldn't have everyone here spoken English like those fan fictions,' she thought to herself one last time before letting the darkness consume her.
