Beep. Beep. Beep. Y/n's eyes fluttered open slowly so she could adjust to the brightness of the room. She sat up in the hospital bed she was in to see the nurse talking to Minato while holding a clipboard. "Hi Mr. Namikaze," y/n said quietly with a small wave causing the nurse to rush out of the room quickly while leaving behind one very confused girl. Minato opened his mouth to speak to y/n and closed it with a sheepish look, remembering that they don't speak the same language. He stepped closer to the foot of her bed held up a thumbs up to ask if she's okay. Y/n nodded and mumbled a thanks as she got handed a glass of water from the man.

The door slid open revealing a woman with blond hair in two pigtails, wearing the white coat of a doctor. She spoke to Minato in the foreign language. The man nodded in response and pointed at the door to let y/n know he was outside. The woman came closer to y/n and introduced herself, "Senju Tsunade," this elicited a smile from y/n, though her mind was somewhere else. She put her stethoscope on and pressed the round end to check the girl's breathing. After Tsunade finished checking y/n's vitals, she unwrapped her head to check on her head injury. The woman nodded in approval and signaled the nurse in the room to write something down. Tsunade smiled at the girl and gave her a thumbs up, signaling that her head was better now. The woman left the room after giving y/n another glass of water to call Minato back in and explain her situation.

Y/n leaned back on the pillow the nurse set up for her, 'How the hell is this going to work out?' she questioned herself as Minato stepped in and waved at the girl, causing her to smile. He tapped his wrist and pointed to the door as a signal that he was late to something and he waved goodbye to y/n before leaving. Y/n's smiled faded as soon as the man left, she fell back onto the bed thinking about her family back home and let her final thoughts be about them before she let sleep consume her.

Y/n woke up to the light of the sun blinding her eyes even as she was asleep. She sat up on her bed and reached for the glass of water that sat next to her. 'I wonder how Mom, Dad and o/s are doing," y/n thought while looking at a family walking in the village through the window in her hospital room. The girls thoughts wandered depressingly from one person to another, all of whom resided in another world. Y/n's thoughts were pushed to the back of her brain as she heard the door slide open. The nurse from before stepped into the room to check on her like yesterday with a smile on her face as if to say "good morning". Just after the nurse finished re-wrapping y/n's head a knock resonated throughout the room.

The door slide open to reveal Minato holding a bag along with a woman standing next to him who had fiery red hair down to her back. 'Let me guess Kushina Uzumaki,' y/n guessed as soon as her eyes laid on the woman. "Hello Mr. Namikaze," the girl said as he and the woman stepped in. The mentioned man gave a close eyed smile to the young girl and spoke to the woman next to him in what y/n knew was Japanese. "Uzumaki Kushina," the woman said with bright smile. Y/n's smile widened seeing hers, 'Heh, Naruto's smile is definitely came from Kushina. Their smiles are really contagious,' she thought to herself. Minato handed the bag he was holding to Kushina and headed out the door after pointing to the door to tell y/n and Kushina where he was going. Kushina turned back to y/n, her back now facing the door she helped the girl up, "Thanks," y/n said in a small voice despite the language barrier. Kushina led her to the bathroom and showed her the clothes Minato and herself had bought for her. Y/n looked at them and smiled, 'I'll say-- wait no they wont be able to understand me, they have good taste,' she gave a nod to Kushina with a smile on her face and went into the bathroom to change.

Y/n's face flushed as the woman in front of her gushed over how cute she looked. She quickly called for Minato while being proud about her choice in clothing. She was wearing a (outfit you picked from the top picture or one of your choice). Minato placed a hand over his chin and acted like he was thinking, then he smiled and gave two thumbs up to y/n. This outcome only made y/n's face flush even further and the laughter of two ninjas to increase.

Y/n grabbed onto Kushina's hand as soon as she stepped out of the hospital, the light making her momentarily go blind. She felt Kushina squeeze her hand to reassure her. After y/n's eyes had adjusted to the light, she looked around letting the sun fall onto her face. She smiled bitter sweetly as she looked at the little kids walking with their parents, 'I hope they're doing okay,'. Y/n blinked as the saw the familiar building in front of her, 'Going the see the Hokage huh? Well let's hope he doesn't sent Inoichi or someone to look into my mind,'.

Y/n looked through the window from her seat in the Hokage's office, confused as everyone around her spoke in Japanese. Her face in an annoyed expression as she remembered she'd have to learn a whole new language from scratch. She looked up at Inoichi who walked up to her only to stop halfway by Tsunade's booming voice. Y/n turned in her chair happy to know someone else in the room apart from Kushina and Minato and waved to the medic. The slug sannin smiled at the girl before glaring at Inoichi. Y/n sighed as the arguing increased, "Some things never change huh," she muttered under her breath as she brought her knees up to her chest and blocked out the noise around her.
Y/n zoned back in as someone shook her shoulder to wake her up. She looked up to see the Hokage in front of her holding his hand out with a smile, "Hiruzen Sarurobi," y/n blinked and shook his hand with a smile, "Y/n l/n,".

Y/n smiled at the red haired woman, happy that she was going to be living with her, at least that what she deduced. She looked around her new room a put down the bags that held her new clothes. Y/n turned and smiled at Kushina, "Thanks Ms. Kushina!" she said despite the language barrier as she bowed down, copying what she saw the others do earlier. Kushina just smiled and bowed to her as well before motioning she'd be in the kitchen. Y/n laid down on the bed and stared at the ceiling, 'I hope my body can keep up with the ninjas here.' With that thought the young girl let her eyes close and her mind drift into rest.
