Meeting room
“Greetings Crown Prince Chester Winter Frost of Extia… Greetings Prince Thomas Summer of Extia” Two guards stated as they opened the doors to the meeting room. I walked over to where my father was sitting.
“Greeting King Father… Greetings Queen Mother '' I said while pulling out my seat, I always sit on my fathers left side, as it is my duty as Crown Prince. Thomas took the seat beside me. You could hear the commotion in the room of all the Nobles whispering about what was going on. Nobody really knew. Word got sent out by father late last night saying that there is an emergency meeting. But no one knew what it was about, not even me and I’m the Crown Prince.
“Your Imperial Majesty” A guard said, I watched as he bent down and whispered something into his ear.
“Everyone take your seats… We’re about to begin” My father stated, he didn’t even get out of his seat.
“Now entering Princess Veronica Autumn Of Cicia” A guard announced, all the Noble stood up. In walked a beautiful woman dressed in a long dark green dress that fit perfectly around her slim waist before hanging loosely at her hips, the sleeves were made out of lace that fell all the way to the ground and flowers were embroidered all over the dress. She wore gloves that matched her outfit. Her red curly hair was let down; she wore a green crown with leaves on it that dipped towards her face. The moment our eyes met I quickly looked down in fear of what color my eyes were. I could feel Thomas nudge me with his elbow, I gave him a scolding look. The moment Thomas' eyes met mine.
“Pull it together” he whispered “You're going gold” the moment he said that, I knew what I had to do. I closed my eyes and inhaled and focused on the illusion I wanted to make. When I opened them I looked at Thomas and nodded his head yes.
“Greetings King and Queen of Extia” she said, her voice soft like flowing water.
“Please take a seat” my father gestured to her to sit across from him. The way she walked was so very elegant. “Princess Veronica, would you please show everyone?” I watched as she closed her eyes. Soon the room began to have gold specks swirl around in the room, her eyes shone green. The room began to turn into another place that looked like a study, suddenly two men were in the room with us.
“Father, are you sure it will work?” A young teen said, this must be Prince William.
“Yes, we just have to find the missing ingredient, and soon we can take the dark knight off land” A older man said this must be Amon the the Great Tyrant of the east.
“Then the Extia Kingdom will be ours” William said in return.
“Any kingdom- wait someone is here” Amon said, she quickly cut off the memory, but something was telling me that there was more to it. You could hear gasps from all around the room.
“Your Majesty, what do we do?” One of the nobles asked.
“Yes your Majesty my family-”
“We should flee”
“Everyone silence we need to find as much information on this spell as possible”
“Father, I will lead an expedition” I stated bluntly.
“That's a good idea son… Do we have any volunteers”
“I will go with” Thomas said.
“Same here” I turned my head, Veronica had volunteered I was not expecting that one. Soon our group turned into 6 people. Thomas, Veronica, Flynn, Brandon, Josephine, and I. Flynn and Josphine were twin brother and sister. Their family's magic is earth. Where Brandon's family comes from fire. Veronica doesn't come from magic because she was born into the Kingdom of Cicia. My family could do any type of magic but we had to choose only one. I chose water; Thomas is earth, Edmund is fire, and Catherine is air. Each magic type has its own special ability and all require a mana stone
“Meeting dismissed… you set out the first thing tomorrow morning” My father ordered while getting up.
“So, what should w-”
“Princess Veronica” I shouted, she turned around, and I was met with her beautiful light green eyes.
“Crown Prince Chester?” I loved the way my name sounded on her lips.
“Would you like to go for a walk?” I asked while approaching her.
“Yes I would be delighted” she said, rubbing at her wrists through the gloves, she was wearing “You lead the way?”
“I’ll join too” Thomas said as he came closer, I shot him a scolding look.
“Don't you have other things to do?” I said while squeezing the back of his neck.
“Nope, pretty sure I don’t have anything to do” he said, shaking me off. I looked at him and gave him a sneering look.
“Umm… shall we get going?” Veronica asked with a confused look on her face.
“Yes” I held out my hand to her, she hesitantly took hold of it. It felt as if sparks were going off. The only thing that I was hoping for was that my illusion was holding up.
“Where are we off to first?” Thomas said, coming right between us. Ugh he is really getting on my nerves.
“I’ve never been here so you chose” She gave him a soft smile.
“Lets go to the garden” I said interjecting myself into their conversation “I remember how much You loved them when we were growing up Princess Veronica”
“Yes they are quite nice” she replied back with a smile.
“You know I really agree with what you are saying they are beautiful” Thomas said, interjecting himself back into the conversion.
“You're still here?” I asked, giving him an agitated smile.
“For now until the end of time” He said, leaning in towards me and he whispered into my ear “You gotta have someone keeping you from turning gold”
“I think I can handle myself” I replied back, even more irritated. “So Princess Veronica-” I looked around and she was nowhere in sight. I turned to Thomas and gave him a scolding look.
“What don't look at me I had nothing to do with this” he said, raising his hands up in the air out of defense.
