Jealousy? Love? Mixed up? What is this feeling.? (CJ x Ruby?)

Chapter 5 Awkwardness

CJ looked over to Ruby and saw her puppy eyes, she looked afraid as she hold CJ sleeve.

Ruby: "D-don't go.. Stay.."

CJ blushed a bit then his mouth wiggles, making eye contact with Ruby, sighed then walked over to the nearest chair to her and sat down. Ruby smiled warmly then let go of CJ sleeve.

CJ: "Why do you want me to stay? You know it would be.. You know.. awkward?"

Ruby: "I-I'm sorry.. I d-didn't know.. I just wanted some company.."

CJ: "You know that your acting funny rn, right Ruby?"

Ruby stayed silent and turned her back to CJ, looking down.

CJ: "Ruby! I'm sorry. I'm just being honest, I can't lie to a good friend like you."

Ruby stayed quiet then sighed. Sits up on the bed, hugging herself.

Ruby: "True true.."

She smiled a bit then looked over to CJ, who he has a face of confusion. CJ crossed his arms, smirked a bit, got up, and jumped onto his bed next to Ruby. Ruby was startled, blushing a bit hard, grabbed a pillow, and started to hit him.

CJ: "ACK- HEY- RUBY- "

Ruby: "T-TAKE THIS AND T-THAT!

*After the pillow fight kinda*

Ruby scoffed then realized that she looked like a mess, her hair was messy, her beanie was off, her eye was almost uncovered, and her clothes were wrinkled. The same thing goes with CJ expect that he didn't have a beanie, the both of them looked at each other then started to laugh.

CJ: "Not gonna lie, that was pretty fun!!"

Ruby eyes sparkled a bit then has a proud and warm smile on her face. CJ looked and blushed a bit, rubbing his head, shook it, gets off, looks over to Ruby.

CJ: "Do you wanna go? Mark is probably concerned for you."

Ruby: "I-I'll! Uhh.. text him later.!"

CJ nodded

CJ: "Want to get a snack? It's my treat! To celebrate the bravery of dear Ruby!"

Ruby laughed then got off the bed, nodding at him, and walks over to him, out of the door. CJ followed her to the kitchen. After they arrived CJ looked for a snack for Ruby, he founded one and handed it over to her, it was a banana pudding! Ruby eyes sparkled then starts it eat it. She was enjoying the smell and taste in it. CJ is watching her eat with a smile.

CJ mind: Hmmm, Ruby kinda cute when she's enjoying the snack or food. The way she smiled it's like you rarely see that every day. I hope she continues to smile, she ju-

Ruby: "CJ? Are you okay?"

CJ hit back to reality then starts to shake his head aggressively, growling a bit then sighed and looked away from Ruby.

CJ: "Y-yeah.. I'm fine, just thinking"

Ruby nodded, understood what he said then went back to eating her banana pudding. After 5 mins

Knock knock knock
CJ and Ruby turned around to the door then looked at each other and back at the door. It was being unlocked, all of a sudden, the sound of keys then the door was slowly opening. CJ knew who it was and sat down on the couch while Ruby was in the kitchen. Vade came in but with Mark. They were laughing then all of a sudden, it came quiet after they saw each other. Vade made eye contact with Ruby while CJ made eye contact with Mark. It felt so quiet and awkward. So Mark decided to break the awkwardness.

Mark: "What a surprise! I didn't know that Ruby was also gonna be here! Hey babe!"

Ruby felt shaky and nervous, she didn't even want to talk but at the same time she doesn't want to ignore Mark, she was afraid that Mark would think the wrong thing.

Ruby: "U-uh.. Hey.! Hon.! Heh.. What are you doing here?"

Those words that came out of her mouth felt stupid to her.

Mark: "I should be asking you the same thing myself"

CJ and Vade were just looking at each other, CJ having a nervous and serious look, while Vade is having a serious but confused look.

CJ: "Uh since we are all here- how about we forget that this happened and go out somewhere together"

Vade: "Fine, that's fine."

Vade and Mark looked at each other then nodded and back at CJ and Ruby, obviously CJ and Ruby saw that so it was suspicious but weird. They didn't know how to feel. Ruby finished her banana pudding and wiped her mouth with a napkin. Mark walked over to Ruby and helped her, blushing, and smiling at her. Ruby was blushing back then smiled. As CJ was watching he looked a bit mad and he was grumbling it a bit, he got up, and as he was about to go to Ruby and Mark, Vade grabbed his arm and hugged it. CJ stopped and looks at Vade, smiling a bit.

CJ mind: Wait a min, was I jealous right there?! I have my gf hugging me while my best friend is getting helped by her bf, but I feel so angry and wish that.. NO NO NO! I CAN'T THINK THAT-

CJ sighed then let it be. After Mark helping Ruby he walked near the door.

Mark: "Ready to go everyone?"

The others three nodded and got up, then walked out the door.

CJ: "There is a near restaurant, so maybe we can walk there."

Vade: "Good idea babe!"

Mark: "Yeah! Let's go!"

Ruby just stayed quiet and started to walk with the others. Everyone started to talk. After 10 mins, they arrived at the restaurant, but the restaurant was called, La La love, next to a café named Espresso Love. That's when everyone knew, things are about to go down.
