Jealousy? Love? Mixed up? What is this feeling.? (CJ x Ruby?)

Chapter 13 Do you even care?

They both woke up, home, CJ and Ruby looked confused, then Ruby looked around CJ, he couldn't quite remember anything but then he saw what Ruby was doing.

CJ: "You good?"

Ruby stopped

Ruby: "O-oh! Yeah, I'm fine! Uh... Just making sure your okay!"

But something didn't feel right, CJ leaned close to Ruby, she leaned back and they were close to each other. Ruby saw the recorder then slowly took it without him noticing, she put it away into her sweater pocket, and looked around, CJ backed up and looked around as well. Ruby remembered what happened so she looked at CJ.

Ruby: "Someone knocked us out when we ran after them because they were recording us.!"

CJ: "Oh yeah, I remember that, I'm still curious but where are we?"

Ruby: "We're home."

CJ: "Who took us in?"

Olley comes in holding a wrench.

Olley: "I did, I saw you two laying down in the back alley so I decided to take you guys in with the help of Faith."

CJ: "What were you doing in the back alley for?

Olley stayed quiet for a bit but gave a smile in return. She reached out to her pocket and took out a necklace, there was no point in that but CJ took it as an answer and nodded as a response. Olley walked out of the room. It was silent.

Ruby got up and looked around for more clues about Mark and Vade. CJ looked confused.

CJ: "What are you doing?"

Ruby: "What does it look like! We're still looking for more hints of Mark and Vade."

CJ: "Ruby what's the point, we already found out the main thing, with the little evidence we have! They're hiding something from us, they might be dating being our backs, and they are really close to each other!"

Ruby: "B-but.. it feels like we're missing something! The big piece of the reason why."

CJ: "Yeah, but we're still missing to this weird feeling of us!"

Ruby looked confused then stopped looking around. CJ sighed and hugged himself.

CJ: "Listen, you know I can always support you, our friendship, and your decisions, but this is over. Your right, we're missing the "big" piece, but I'm done."

Ruby looked stunned then sat in front of CJ, looking serious and concerned.

Ruby: "We're close though.. CJ, we almost have all the answers we need, you can't just give up now! For this weird feeling.. that may be just us"

CJ: "Ruby, I agree with you but I can't handle it."

Ruby: "You brought it up though, you wanted to do this, I still want to solve this, in our power and minds we can do anything! Please CJ!"

The moment Ruby kept talking, CJ had this weird feeling as she was talking, he felt anger but attacked. He knew that he did this, he knew what he's done, and he knew that she was speaking the truth. He sighed and looked down, really didn't want to continue but at the same time he wanted to solve it in a way with Ruby. He never thought that Ruby wanted to continue, she was afraid and didn't want to do it, but now after all  of this chaotic moments I guess it got into her.

Ruby kept going but then CJ put a finger on her lips, it got silent as they both made eye contact. He looked calm and Ruby looked confused then he pulled her into a hug, Ruby was shocked but then he pushed her away. It was unnecessary to push someone after hugging them.

Ruby: "What was that for?! Was that r-really necessary?!"

CJ sighed

CJ: "I apologized but I have a question, what else do you want, from all of this?"

Ruby: "Well, n-not really anything! We're working together! Finding pieces and-"

CJ: "What made you work with Braint, giving him info about us? How long Ruby, HOW LONG?"

Ruby was slowly starting to feel startled about this, building up fear, lets say this is reminding her of something.

CJ: "DON'T ACT LIKE THE VICTIM HERE RUBY! PLEASE, TELL ME! ANSWER ME! DID HE DO ANYTHING TO YOU? ARENT WE NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU? DID WE DO SOMETHING!"

Ruby still had no words, she was shaking in fear, the voice coming from the boy sounded like he was in pain, like he was heartbroken. As she thought the feelings, tears start to flow down his eyes. He looked away from the shy girl and sighed.

CJ: "Please answer me Ruby, I'm sorry that I'm putting pressure on you or anything. It hurts me to see you like this, and saying nothing behind my back. We trust each other, right? You trust me?"

Ruby: "I d-do! It's just.."

She walked over to CJ and wiped his tears off as she's speaking.

Ruby: "I don't really wanna be controlling like I'm seeming right now but, I promise I'll explain everything after we deal with this."

She stopped and took a step back, looking down, feeling guilty a bit.

CJ: "Ruby, your working with Braint, why would he need our evidence, what could he want with all of this us looking out answer to this Vade and Mark problem, you know that I would rather you tell me this before instead now."

Ruby: "I was afraid.. that-"

CJ pulled Ruby close to him, she didn't know why or what but he whispered.

CJ (whispering): Tell me in my ear, don't ask why, just do it.

Ruby (whispering): I was afraid that you weren't gonna be with me or not be my friend. I was scared to see the results.

CJ (whispering): Next time please tell me, or anything, you really think I'm that dumb? Just never do that again. Okay?

Ruby (whispering): Will do, I'm so sorry CJ

CJ nodded then looked around while holding on to Ruby, defending her in some sort of way.

Ruby: "Why are you.."

CJ: "You'll see later on."

Ruby looked concerned and worried but nodded in response. CJ looked around then stop holding on to her. Ruby felt awkward then opened the door, CJ looked over to her then tilted his head.

Ruby: "Are you coming?"

CJ walked over to her and walked out of the room but leaned against the wall, knowing that she took the recorder. Ruby heard her phone and took it out, seeing that Braint was calling her. She looked over to CJ, hanged up, and ran over to him, he smiled and walked with her.

Braint POV
He saw that Ruby hang up and putted his phone down in anger a bit. He crossed his arms but heard his door open then closed.

Braint: "How dare you come in my room like that without knoc-"

He turned around and stopped before finishing his sentence. Looking shocked, pupils grew a bit short then looked at the picture (him and the girl) then back.

Shine: "So, long time no see. Anything new? Partner.."
