Brushing the hair that barely goes past her shoulders Everly contemplated what she would be wearing. After doing four different shoots today she had to get ready for once again another one. She's been working on little to no sleep this past month, photoshoots for weddings, birthdays, engagement parties, baby showers, and etc had been strangely demanding due to how much she's been putting onto herself to get up higher in the business, on top of that taking photos for Rory Storm and The Hurricanes.
Her boss has been incredibly hard on her now more than ever especially since finding out she was also taking photos for non work related reasons. So he began to pile more work onto her, forcing her to stay longer and develop many other photos that her coworkers have taken, making sure that the right people get the right photos. Her parents have been encouraging her to find another firm to work for but she continuously shoots them down due to her thinking that her boss will eventually promote her to photograph models and well known people.
Once finishing the exact same hairstyle she does everyday she makes her way towards her closet deciding to wear a dress today instead of trousers. She skims through her clothing then notices the gorgeous wine colored dress she bought months ago but never put to use.
Tossing the clothes she had on across the room into the bin she slipped into the nicely fitted dress. Slipping on her black flats that were starting to wear out due to how long she's had them and never once replaced. They were one of the last things her grandfather gifted her along with her camera. Just before he was hospitalized. He asked to be removed from the hospital and spend his last days with my grandma in their home in London, her parents were currently with him providing for them both. Everly had wanted to go be with them but her boss denied her any time off.
She grabs her keys and camera before quickly making her way to the Liverpool Empire Theater for the "Search the Stars" competition that they had entered. The boys had begged her to do a half shift and then the competition, which was only possible since her boss hadn't been working this weekend.
Walking under the hot sun to the bus stop that would take her to the Theater seemed so lengthy due to the sleep deprivation and malnutrition in an attempt of getting her career higher, running the bookstore, and doing side jobs to uplift her career even further.
Evenly knows that the chances of people recognizing her on the street as Everly Evans is doubtful but the hope within her is strong. She believes that she will be famous, her photos will be everywhere and in magazines. That people will beg her to take photos for this celebrity and that celebrity. Maybe she'll have famous friends and they'll have poker nights or brunch with mimosas.
What am I even saying to myself? Eve thought to herself, that'll never happen to me of all people. As long as her and Richard continue to be together Everly doesn't mind her career going the other way and staying as a photographer for birthdays and weddings as long as it'll be for their own wedding and birthdays then hopefully kid's birthdays and their weddings.
Everly came to a stop after walking for twenty minutes and sat down on the curb to catch her breath quickly.
"The shit i do for this man, god he's lucky i love him." She muttered under her breath to no one but herself. Pulling on the strap of her camera bag to tighten it and continue her walk. Looking down on her watch that she had bought with her paycheck about two months ago, which she also bought a matching one for Richard, she noticed she couldn't afford any more time to waste.
Everly getting paid much better had been buying Richard and herself more than enough stuff. She'd always drop something off for him at his house or wait until he comes over to give him something. With Richard staying with Everly almost everyday now that her parents are off to london they've had a trail run for a future adult life, and they cannot wait until they get their own place.
