"From the beginning of civilization, we've know there was something captivating about watching human beings fight for their lives. That's why we watch gladiator games, public executions..."

"We created a sport for people who still have a thirst for savagery."

"Our customers are some of the most powerful people in the world. Every year they demand more."

"More complicated rooms..."

"More ways to gamble on life and death..."

"...And we provided them with a box seat for life's ultimate drama."

"Tell me what you see." A woman named Dr. Soans had asked Zoey. She sat quietly for a moment, trying to come up with a proper response. The thoughts running around throughout her head couldn't come out the way she wanted them to. She then took a deep breath and then released the air from her lungs.

"Every time I close my eyes, I just see them fall. Whenever I blink, it's almost like they never existed." Zoey said. Zoey thought about Amanda and Danny. She thought about how they both died. Both falling right before her eyes.

"I can still hear all of their screams. I see their terrified faces." Zoey continued.

"Alright." Dr. Soans muttered. She then began writing something down in a notepad. "Now, is there anything else you remember from the incident?" Dr. Soans questioned her. Zoey then thought about all of the times you barley escaped death. Almost burning to death, almost getting hypothermia, nearly getting killed by falling floors, almost suffocating to death by carbon monoxide gas. It seemed all to unrealistic. Zoey sighed.

"I remember that, in the middle of everything. Amanda took the time to hold me and y/n' s hands, to tell us that everything was gonna be okay."

"Could you be more specific?" Dr. Soans asked Zoey.

"I had told Amanda about my fear of flying. I told her about my mother, the plane crash." Zoey responded.

"And what did she say to you?" She asked Zoey.

"I have a daughter."

"She told us about her daughter, and how she kept her close when she was deployed overseas."

"I wanted to be sure that she'd always be with me, so I told her, when someone you love becomes a memory..."

"...that memory becomes a treasure." Zoey said as she stared down at her hands, fiddling with the gold plated compass watch she had. It was all she had left of her mother when she died during the plane crash.

"It sounds like Amanda was a good friend." Dr. Soans said.

"She was. But... Minos killed her. Minos killed all of them. Right in front of us." Dr. Soans sighed and then looked down at the floor.

"Ah, you don't believe me. Of course you don't. Why would you even believe this bullshit." Zoey said, her tone began to sound stationary.

"Zoey, I'm only trying to help you."
