Chapter two - Welcome Back

"Minos found us." Ben said as a terrified expression formed onto his face.

"This has to be a joke." You muttered, standing up from your seat.

"Wait, did you just say Minos?" Racheal asked Ben.

"Oh shit, it's happening again." Nate muttered. You, Zoey and Ben looked at all of them surely shocked and confused.

"No... No. No. No, no, no, no, I knew I shouldn't have come back. Oh, my God!" Brianna stammered as she sat down in a seat and put her hands in her hair, panicking and terrified.

"Wait, wait. You guys have played Minos's games before?" Zoey had asked them.

"How do you think I got these, huh?" Theo said, pointing at the hearing aids in his ears.

"They locked me in a goddamn submarine. Then they increased the air pressure until my eardrums burst." Theo explained, taking off his jacket.

"So, what does that make this? The tournament of champions?" Racheal questioned. Just then, Theo threw his jacket at the wall and began kicking the door in anger.

"NO! NO! NO!" Theo began to yell.

"LET ME OUT! I'M NOT PLAYING THIS GAME AGAIN, YOU NO-GOOD PIECES OF SHIT!" Theo screamed out in complete rage and anger as he tried to pry the door open.

"Hey, hey, hey! You're only making it worse! Don't make it worse, okay? Don't make it worse." Racheal said to Theo, grabbing him by the shoulder's to try and calm him down. Racheal then moved him to sit him down in one of the seats.

"If they can hijack a train, I'm sure that they can reinforce the doors, okay?" Racheal explained to him.

"It's my wife's birthday today... I told her I wouldn't be late." Theo said, looking at Racheal straight in the eye's.

"I'm always late. I- I can never be on time. And now that I'm back here again, I won't be able to get back to her. Especially if I die here...  She'll probably think I abandoned her..." Theo then began silently crying, covering his face with his hands.

"I... I should've done more. I— I should've convinced both of you not to come to Manhattan." Ben said to you and Zoey as he began panicking.

"Ben, Ben, Ben. Look at me. Look, we broke out once. We'll do it again. I promise." Zoey tried to reassure him.

"Yeah, I'm sure we can get out of this again." You said after.

"You gotta get that fantasy out of your heads." Racheal said. You and Zoey turned to face her.

"Okay, we've all been through this before. We solve the puzzles, we win. We go free." Racheal explained.

"You mean, one of us does." Theo interrupted.
He was right. There was a chance that only one of you we're going to make it out of this alive. No guarantee that all three of you we're going to make it out of this one alive. You all began to look around as the sound of mechanical hissing filled the car.

"What's that sound?" You muttered. Everyone looked at the emergency exit. Racheal slowly walked over to the door to check out what the sound was. All of you watched closely as she slowly made her way over to the emergency door.
