Chapter seven - It's Over. Isn't it?

It's been 24 hours since you had escaped death, once again. Maybe trying to find Minos was a terrible idea. Being reckless caused four more other people to die. Ben was almost the fifth. But, on the other hand, law enforcements finally managed to catch them. Maybe going through another round of escape room was worth it.
As of now, the three of you we're at the police station. You and Zoey we're sitting in chairs, wrapped in blankets as the police arrested the ones behind the deadly escape rooms.

Minos.

You we're both watching the news as you saw the news reporter saying how they found out about the deadly escape rooms you went through.

"We're here reporting live from a warehouse in downtown Manhattan where local authorities have discovered four bodies and evidence of a grim criminal enterprise. Now, we're still getting details, but we are being told these unsuspecting victims have been lured off the streets into what they thought was a typical escape room, only to find out the stakes were literally life and death. Now the criminal organization behind this is known as Minos. And our sources are telling us that both federal authorities and Interpol have been after them for some time. Four survivors are now working with local authorities and we'll update you as the story develops."

"I can't believe we managed to get out of that again. I thought for sure at least one of us would be goner's... But we did it. Minos has finally been cut off for good." You said to Zoey as you looked at the Tv and leaned back in your chair, thinking about the others you had lost throughout the games.

"Yeah. I'm just glad Minos has been caught." Zoey smiled. She then touched her chest, thinking about her compass watch that was stolen. You noticed this.

"Zoey... Once again, I'm sorry about your compass. I'm sorry we couldn't get it back. I know how much it meant to you." You said.

"No, it's okay. It's not your fault. There's nothing we can do to get it back now anyways. It's gone.." Zoey muttered the last part. You pulled Zoey into a short hug as she hugged you back. Ben then came from around a corner and walked over and sat down beside you in the seats.

"Amanda'a giving them everything. Proof that she didn't die in a climbing accident. Proof on the rooms and everyone. We've got Minos dead to rights." Ben stated.

"What about her daughter?" Zoey questioned.

"Yeah, is her daughter okay? Did they get her back to Amanda?" You asked.

"They're still looking for her." Ben responded.
You and Zoey just let out a small sigh. A man in a suit then walked over to the three of you. You all looked up at the man as he approached you.

"Sorry to interrupt. I'm Special Agent Freddy Will, running point on the task force." The man introduced himself.

"Im sorry nobody believed you three before. However, because of your actions, they didn't have time to wipe the place. Hard drives, client lists, the rooms. We're running raids across the country as we speak." The Agent explained.

"So, what happens next?" You asked him.

"We've built one hell of a case. My colleagues in Chicago will reach out." The agent explained as he then reached inside of his pocket.

"And I believe this is yours." The man turned to Zoey and pulled out her gold plated compass watch that had gotten stolen by that homeless guy.
