"Oh not you again" Rebecca rolled her eyes as soon as she opened the front door, she was carrying Remo in a shawl clinging to her chest.

She was about to slam the door shut when the man's foot got in the way making him grimace due to the pain.

"Hold on, before you start kicking around and leaving me lying on the floor, I come in peace Vera" Eric said calmly.

Rebecca narrowed her brown eyes at him suspiciously, Eric gave her a shy kind, smile. For the first time in a while she saw him easy and sober.

"Speak," she told cautiously opening a bit the heavy wood door, rocking and patting baby Remo.

"First, I wanna apologize for all the misunderstandings I caused between you and George. My bad. I was high and loaded, though it's not justification," Becca frowned and he continued. "And I'm sorry for all those nasty words I said to you, I've to admit can't contain myself around a beautiful women and well you Rebecca, you're one so..." Eric shrugged. "But now I know you belong to George, no matter what or who-"

"I'm not George's, Eric. I'm not property or a car, I'm not anyone's..." the woman told as an statement.

The guitarist scratched his red neck taking air, Rebecca was a strong and bold woman, of those you consider a challenge but at the same time he knew that she did not need a man, not even George, she'd shown it. So it was hard to deal with her without feeling like a hormone-ridden moron.

"Y'know what I mean," Eric tilted his head. "What I'm trying to say loud and clear is I'm sorry. I hope we can forget everything and move on. George is someone important to me and losing his friendship for something like this seems ridiculous. He's truly my mate. Plus I'm with Pattie now, for good and I think things are getting better for me, for us"

Rebecca knew; yes, Eric had been an important part in their break up, yet blaming an external agent for their problems was evading responsibilities, she and her husband were complicated sometimes, no matter if in the end they managed to resolve their conflicts. But she couldn't let hate live in her heart always, Becca wasn't like that and the more that negative feeling lived with her over time it was going to become unbearable. She also knew that her husband loved Eric, he was important to George no matter if he was a jerk.

Becca sighed and her expression relaxed to a kinder, yet careful one.

"Okay, I appreciate your words Clapper" she said sincerely with a half smile.

"You do?" Eric smile cheerfully "Oh," he said remembering, "I brought presents for the little ones..." The man announced showing the presents in his hands. "George told me that Enzo loves cars, and for new baby Pattie helped me pick out a nice outfit. Can... Can I meet him?" Eric asked sheepishly like asking for a candy.

Rebecca grinned with a nod "Of course, you're sort of 'the drunk uncle' so..." she commented sassy making him laugh.

"Remo, right?"

Clapton walked toward them to see inside the shawl the new Harrison member sleeping soundly, chubby rosy cheeks and thick blond hair.

"Fuck me, he's got George's face. Poor boy, he's going to be your wreck" Eric smiled happily, Becca giggled back. "He's lovely Rebecca. You guys have done a great job with both boys."

"Well, thanks... We don't planned any of them" Rebecca admitted.

"Now wait for a baby girl," Eric mentioned with a mischievous tone and a mocking smirk.

"Hell no. Not again, at least I've already closed the factory. Come on in."

After making peace with George and spending the day in the studio trying out guitars, strings and sharing stories, Eric joined the Harrisons for dinner, Mexican dishes cooked by Rebecca. There was a pleasant and fun atmosphere, but above all respect and sincerity. Seeing George and Becca's children caused something in him, maybe it was time to start trying it with Pattie.
