Izuku Midoriya.
A child who aspires to be what most kids strive to be in modern times is a Hero. Someone who goes around helping and protecting the innocent while fending off and defeating the villains that commit crimes and aim to bring harm to everyday folk.
How heroes go about doing that is utilizing what are called "Quirks", supernatural-like abilities that villains also use to aid in their endeavors. Quirks first came into existence when a newborn baby in Qing Qing City, China was able to radiate light from its body and from then on, Quirks progressively became another aspect of life as time progressed on. Now life has a way of either being kind, or a bitch but in Midoriya's case and those who share a similar fate; being downright cruel.
How cruel you may ask? That would be in the form of lacking a quirk and be officially diagnosed quirkless during a visit to the quirk doctor which not only shattered his world, but also saddened his mother named Inko Midoriya. Now while Inko does whatever she can for Izuku with her husband Hisashi not being around, but after what occurred earlier? Including seeing her bundle of joy that is Izuku sporting a empty expression as he mindlessly grips his All Might action figure in addition to having tears run down his face felt like a shot to the goddamn heart.
Later arriving at their small humble abode that is an apartment, Izuku mindlessly walked to his room where booted up the computer and watched the video depicting the debut of the later legendary hero named All Might who saved countless people from a fire.
Inko later walks in and Izuku soon asks whilst sniffling "Mom, I can still be a hero like All Might? One who helps others with a smile on my face?"
Hearing the question left her at an impasse and also conflicted, but should she remain silent, Izuku would take that as a no and possibly break down further. It ate at her seeing her child's current state and from that point on, she fucking REFUSED to see her son stay like that and reinforced her resolve to support Izuku no matter what obstacles life decides to throw their way or even Murphy's Law.
"Of course you can be a hero, Izuku. While unfortunately it won't be easy and may have to work harder than some, I know that you won't let ANYTHING stop you from achieving that goal and I'll be right behind you every step of the way." Inko spoke as she embraced Izuku and consoled him.
Hearing those words, the sobbing 4 year old would forever be thankful on that day and in the days to come which in turn strengthened his resolve but of course life likes to have other plans.
After hesitantly revealing to others his quirkless status, his peers started to avoid him one by one and what drove it home was that his now former best friend by the name of Katsuki Bakugou became his tormentor especially with his quirk named Explosion where he sweats nitroglycerin to create them which in addition to that was praised by his classmates and teachers when it was first revealed.
At first, he and his cronies started small by throwing insults Izuku's way including giving the demeaning nickname "Deku" which means "Useless". While it hurt him on the inside, the greenette decided to brush it off but Bakugou wasn't going to take that lying down who later chose to amp the torment with physical assault.
Since then he would come home with clothes singed, bruised, and at times, also bleeding. Mortified would be an understatement for how Inko reacted when she first saw him like that, but the child decided to keep the details of what happened to himself to avoid troubling her.
Over time, Izuku would continue to get harassed and bullied including sometimes fighting back which not only ended in failure, but eventually would make Inko consider having him learn martial arts to better defend himself.
