Chapter 8: My Secret Power

(Autobot Base; Optimus Prime's POV)

    It's been about 2 weeks since Pandora had stayed with us. She was able to communicate over the past week which means she has started to gain a bit of confidence. Due to her growing communicating skills, she was able to talk to the other Autobot members. She was also able to prevent herself from shaking out of nervousness.

    For the past week, my feelings for her has been growing inside of me. It has been eating my spark and the more I got to know her, the more those feelings grew. Every time when there's a cute smile on her face, I get all warm inside of my frame. At first, I didn't understand what was up with me when I got near Pandora. Then I realized I was falling in love with her. I hope that when the time comes, I'll be able to confess to her how much I loved her.

    Ratchet informed me that there's an energon mine with no Decepticon activity. It was the perfect opportunity for Pandora to come with me and the others. When I asked Pandora if she wants to come with me, she happily accepted my request. My spark was beating in happiness knowing that I will be with the beautiful shy femme during my scouting mission.

    We both went through the groundbridge together, arriving at our destination. When we went inside the energon mine, she was holding on to my arm pretty tight because of how dark it was. I don't mind it though. I don't want her to be separated from me or get lost. I held out my flashlight and turned it on for the light to guide us.

    As we walked to find some energon, I thought about how am I going to confess to her about my feelings towards her. Maybe I will surprise her on the cliff near the forest that is close to the base. Or maybe I might plan on confessing her in a location that I like to visit, which is the snowy mountains that show off the Northern lights. Whenever there's no Decepticon activity or no scouting missions for energon, I would sometimes go to the mountains to look at the Northern lights and give my processor some peace and relaxation. I would gladly show Pandora the Northern lights that are just as beautiful as her. That could be the perfect place for my love confession.

    We then heard a drilling sound and I could see Pandora getting a bit more scared. "What was that n-noise?", she asked, worried. "It sounds like a drilling noise", I answered her. "Must be 'Cons.", Arcee said. As we got closer, we saw Decepticons miners..and the Second in Command, Starscream. "I don't understand. I thought the energon mine had no Decepticon activity!", Bulkhead exclaimed. Bumblebee whirled, saying that it must be a bug on the screens back at the base.

    "Who's t-that?", Pandora quietly asked. "That's Starscream, the Second in Command of the Decepticons. Before Megatron was back, he lead the Decepticons.", I responded. "He killed my former partner, Cliffjumper", Arcee said with an angry tone as she thought about Cliffjumper's death. I don't want Pandora hurt. "Stay hidden and do not come out, Pandora", I requested her. She nodded and she stayed in the dark, hidden as she looked at me and the other Autobots coming out of the dark she was in.

(Energon Mine; Pandora's POV)

    I watched Optimus and the others coming out of the dark to face Starscream and the other Decepticons. I was filled with anxiety as I do not want the Autobots hurt, especially Optimus. I cared about his safety and I would put my life on the line for the handsome leader.

    "Ah, Optimus. So nice to meet you.", the stiletto seeker said with evilness in his faceplate. "Starscream, I suggest that you share some of the energon with us", Optimus fiercely said. "Oh, I won't do that here.", Starscream said. "DECEPTICONS, ATTACK!", he ordered the vehicons. The vehicons began to attack the Autobots. I watched as worry filled up to spark. I prayed to Primus that they will be alright.

    Optimus and the Autobots managed to shoot the vehicons and stab them. Arcee did some flips around some vehicons and shot their sparks out. Bulkhead pulled out his wrecking ball and smashed the vehicons to the ground. Bumblebee managed to dodge them and shot them. As for Optimus, he was doing so great that he managed to wipe out a lot of vehicons.

    However all that near success came to an end as a ground bridge opened up. More vehicons began to appear from the portal. By the Allspark, there were tons of these Decepticons coming out from the ground bridge. The vehicons began to tackle Optimus and the others to the ground. 'No! No no no! Don't give up, Optimus! Please!', I yelled in my head. I watched with shock as the Autobots were falling weak into the Decepticons' hands.

    I started to feel a sense of anger building up in my spark. I was breathing heavily and slowly, all that anger began to eat away the worry in my spark.

    I watched as Starscream began to walk towards Optimus and he aimed his missiles at him.

"Goodbye, Autobot."

No.

No!

NO!

NOOOOO!

    Suddenly I pulled out my blade and attacked Starscream by cutting off his wing. He screeched in pain and I didn't care anymore. Luckily for the seeker, I didn't have the urge to kill him because all I focused on was rescuing Optimus and the Autobots. I looked at the vehicons that tackled the Autobots to the ground and I ran at high speed towards them.

    Each slice equals satisfaction over my spark. I kept on offlining them, stabbing the spark out of the vehicons. Control was out of me. I didn't want to be controlled. The vehicons tried to run away but I ran very fast at them and I offlined them. I sliced more vehicons into pieces. Optimus, Arcee, Bulkhead, and Bumblebee watched me with awe and shock on their faceplates.

    I decided to switch my blade to my blaster. I aimed at the remaining vehicons and swiftly shot their sparks to death. I began to do flips and turns as they missed their aims at me. I began shooting and stabbing them at the same time.

    I was finally done killing nearly all of the vehicons. Starscream aimed his missiles at me and tried to shoot me with them. I managed to dodge them and before I aimed my blaster at his face, he yelled, "DECEPTICONS! RETREAT RETREAT!". He ran off with the other vehicons and the groundbridge appeared in front of them. I watched them running through the portal.

    I put away my blaster and looked back at Optimus and the Autobots. They all had a shocked expression on their faces. My optics widened and I looked at my bloody servo. I finally realized what I have done.

    I began to have a mental breakdown as I gasped and backed away. Optimus moved one step towards me. "NO! STAY AWAY FROM
ME!", I yelled. I don't want to hurt them, especially Optimus. I keep on venting hard as I felt my spark pounded heavily in my chassis. "Pandora..", Optimus said.

"NO!"

    Visions came to my processor. Optimus Prime not approving this side of me and walking away. Everyone..mad at me. The last vision came to my processor I imagined myself getting abandoned by the Autobots..

    I ran past them, towards the exit of the energon mine. I could hear Optimus calling out my designation but I didn't care. I kept on running and I transformed into my Hummer Limousine mode. I drove away, ashamed of my actions I did back at the mine.

What have I done?
