"Yes, Chief! I can surely handle this case by myself..... No worries." I hung up the call. "So where was the dead body?" I asked myself.

It was cold winter dawn. The cool wind was blowing one after another. The air is seemingly fresh, clear and odourless because of the stream running inside.

The cave has its own climate unaffected by the outer climate, and clouds even form inside it. The enormous stalagmites rising up from the ground and the blithe stalactites from the ceiling, coupled with the rays of sunlight falling out through holes in the rocks, shroud the cave in an ethereal feeling.

The weather outside was soon filled with gloomy clouds.

Suddenly, a thunder rumbled, making me quiver. On the second rumble of thunder, rain gushed down. The sound of the pitter-patter of raindrops can be heard all over the mine.

Short after, the lights in the mine went off, cause of the gray weather. Darkness surrounded the whole place. For now, the only source of light is the lightning produced by the tempest. The darkness is so thick that it's impossible to see more than a few feet in front of you.

The eerie green glow, glistened in the darkness, making the echoing cavern look mythical. I looked around, fascinated by the scenery. "Beautiful", was the only utterance that escaped my mouth.

I brought my hands near my mouth, warming it with my warm breath. The climate is bitterly cold today.

I am investigating a murder case in this cave named, Hang Son Doong, the largest know cave on earth, which is located in Quang Binh province, Vietnam. I will have to explore and examine this mine.

To not get lost, I Prefer to contact someone for directions. I proceed to take out my phone from the inside pocket of my jacket, but a phone call interrupted my action. "Wah! Telepathy." I answered the call. "Hello! Seo Jun-ssi."

Han Seo Jun is my old homie and colleague. We are together since childhood. Our bond is unbreakable. We both share the same dream, and we did accomplish our ambition of becoming agents, together.

"Hey, Y/n liste-?" The caller was interrupted by a loud sound, making me flinch.

"The hell was that?"

"Some a-holes are bombing the mine. Hear me out, our team was on the way, but it's stuck in the middle of nowhere. It will take some time to reach the mine. Until then, find a safe place and remember there is an ocean near, mine may fill with water anytime soon." He spoke promptly. "Now tell, do you remember where the corpse was?"

"Um, kind of," I said, not being sure.

Cause of the loud noise of the explosions, I was unable to hear what Seo Jun was saying.

"Hey, can you hear me?.... Damn it." My gaze landed on an unknown entity. "Wait.....what is that..?"

I made my way towards the foreign thing.

"A... Corpse..? I whispered.

Another explosion was heard, but this one was rather bizarre, there was a deep silence in the mine, only the sound of my fast breathing and the pitter-patter of raindrops could be heard.

It seemed like, a calm before the storm.

All of a sudden, a wave of water came rushing towards me, drenching me in it. It didn't take me long enough to comprehend that the storm has finally come.

The floodwater swirled at my shoulder, rising and ebbing. I desperately looked for an escape route. Unexpectedly, when I turned around, I saw a silhouette of a man underwater. His figure came into my sight. I squinted my eyes to get a better view of him, he looks like a gym freak from his back.

Feeling my eyes on him, he finally turned around, his gaze landed on my figure. His doe eyes lit up in surprise after knowing he isn't alone in this hazardous situation. We made eye contact. He has amber-coloured, shiny doe-eyes. His lips slightly turned up giving an exhausted yet polite smile whereas I reciprocated an awkward one.

Then something clicked on my mind.

Isn't he the same gentleman from yesterday?.. But what is he doing here...?

He wasn't looking like before, energetic, but rather, like someone, who didn't sleep for decades.

He swam his way towards me. Flood water was rising rapidly.

"Hey, miss?.. Are you alright?" He asked while I hummed in response with a slight nod.

"And...you?-" I stopped in my track as I feel a tremendous body falling on mine, making me hold the person's waist. "Ouk! Mister!?
