It had been 2 days since I had gotten that package. I still wanted to peek, but I hadn't had the time. Between school, homework, and watching Kelly and the other kids, I barely had time to eat and sleep. It didn't help that Nate was now spending all his time locked in the room him and Luke share. I assume Luke is in there with him. I have no idea what they are doing and I'm used to Nate being out here, helping me and making all the kids laugh. It's a bit of a pain taking care of them all by myself. Danny is only good with his little brother, so he doesn't really ever help with the other kids. It's not that it's hard to watch them all, it's that one of them is always around so I couldn't be alone to look at the package. I've also kinda been on the edge lately. When Nate said he'd cheer me up, I had a feeling it would have something to do with being dunked in paint or hit with chocolate filled water balloons. Yea, he'd do that.

Right now, I was up in Katie and Sarah's room along with them, Kelly and Isabelle being used as a dress up doll. I hadn't wanted to but after the girls begging me for 2 hours straight, I caved. So now, Katie and Izzy were caking makeup on my face, Kelly was doing my hair, and Sarah had just left to look through my clothes and chose something for me to wear. Not really my favorite way to spend the morning.

"Ohhh I found the perfect outfit for you, Jessie" typed Sarah, coming into the room. The other girls turned to look.

"That's great Sarah!" typed Katie. "Once we finish her make-up she can change and then do ours!" They all squealed excitedly and hurried over to finish me up. After quite some time, they were finally done and allowed me to get up from my chair. They had layed my clothes on the bed, which turned out to be the only dress I owned. It had belonged to my grandmother, one of my only family members I didn't hate. It was red, and was tight fitting until it reached my waist, where it puffed out below a black belt. It was a summer dress and the straps joined in the back and formed a bow. It was really pretty, I just had no reason to wear it. I slipped it on, careful not to mess up whatever Kelly had done to my hair, and then slipped on the black flats they had set out. I turned to the mirror and was amazed at what I saw. My hair wasn't a total mess. It was in a messy braid down my back. Much neater than I thought Kelly was capable of. And my makeup actually wasn't that bad. A bit too much blush and they eyeshadow was a little to bright for my taste but other than that, really quite good. I was shocked. I was happy and I looked...

"Wonderful" I heard Izzy say. I turned to them, who were all staring at me. They smiled and I walked over and hugged them all tight.

"Thanks girls. It looks amazing" I said.

"I want to go next!" shouted Katie.

"No I'm next!" said Sarah.

"Don't worry girls. You'll all get your turn" I typed, smiling. Over the hour or so, the girls took turns sitting in the chair while I did their make-up and hair. Once they were all done, they picked out each others outfits and we took a bunch of pictures. It was actually a lot of fun. It's been a long time since I've had a 'girls day'.Just then, the one o'clock lunch bell rang. Suprised, I looked at the clock. My god, we'd been at this for 3 hours!

"Come on girls. Let's go get something to eat" I typed. They must have been very hungry because they all ran downstairs as fast as their little legs could carry them. I chuckled and jogged down after them, forgetting to change. I walked into the kitchen where everyone was telling the girls how lovely they looked. They all looked up when I opened the door and everyone was soon staring at me, speechless. I looked over at Ms. Abigail, who had never seen me dressed up like this and had a wide smile on her face. I looked over at Danny and Derek, who were both staring at me with wide eyes. I glanced over at Luke and almost burst out laughing. His eyes were wide and his jaw was hanging open. He noticed me looking and quickly turned away, blushing like mad.

"When you all put your eyes back in your heads, you can join me for lunch" I typed, smiling. Just then Nate walked in and saw me, a big smile starting to form on his face. I braced myself for the teasing to start.

"Not bad Jessie. Though you don't need to dress this nice for our little outing. I'm just cheering you up. It's not a date. Are you trying to tell me something?" he joked.

"Yea ok. Like I'd ever want to go on a date with you" I replied.

"Wow Jessie. That hurts" he said, staggering and clutching his heart like I had really hurt him.

"Yea, yea enough with the theatrics. Where are we going?"

"That, my dear, is for me to know and you to find out. And we aren't going till 5 so that gives you time to eat, change and wait around in irritating suspense." With that, he grabbed a sandwich and walked out of the kitchen, laughing.

"Aauuggg!!!" I cried, and slumped down in my chair. I grabbed and sandwich and thought

"Ok. Only 4 more hours. I can handle that. Wonder what he's thought of to cheer me up this time."
