Normal Day at the Baker's House

I had another sleepover at Lorraine's house. Lorraine is my ultimate bestie and her and I have the same likes and dislikes.

Lorraine wants to be a fashion guru when she grows up and I want to be a fashion designer so we're going to start a fashion company. We want to go to New York to start our company. So far, we live in Midland, Illinois. I wake up first and put on what I packed for the day. I went into the bathroom and started my makeup. I always woke up really early since 12 kids and few bathrooms can cause bad things to happen. I start with my eyes and make my way to my face and then end at my lips. I did eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara for my eyes. For my face I did, foundation, primer, concealer, acne powder, highlighter, bronzer, and blush. For my lips I used, lip liner, and a dark red lipstick. I was wearing a red crop top and blue jeans. I walked out and waited in Lorraine's room for her to wake up.

When she finally woke up, it was because of the 'Baker Call' as I like to call it. It's when Mr. Baker yells for all the kids to wake up. I left the room for Lorraine to get ready and I walked down the stairs. I walked into the kitchen to see Mr. and Mrs. Baker start breakfast. "Mr. Baker, do you need any help with breakfast," I asked. "Sure thing Selena, and like I've told you before, call me Tom," Mr. Baker said. "Okay Mr- I mean Tom. I can start with the toast," I said getting a loaf of bread. I unwrapped it and put two slices into the toaster and walking over to the fridge to get the butter. I got the butter and buttered the finished toast. I did that for a while until Lorraine yelled for me and I ran back upstairs. "What's wrong Lor," I asked. "I don't have anything that matches my Jean jacket and pink shirt," Lorraine whined. "That's why I came prepared. I have perfect white jeans for you," I showed her these white, skinny jeans that looked like mine but different color. "Oh Selena! You're a life saver," Lorraine thanked me and ran off to the bathroom. I walked back downstairs and set the table for everyone. More and more kids kept coming down so they took over the jobs and I sat back and relaxed reading the latest cover of The Fashion Advice. This is my favorite magazine and it helps me stay in trend so that I can help Lorraine stay in trend. When Lorraine walked down she talked her dad into giving her more time in the bathroom and she sat down next to me to read with me. We were talking about the magazine and breakfast had started. Mrs. Baker threw toast at everyone and I caught one too. I had the eggs and a muffin when I saw Mark reach his net towards the light above the table. Tom seemed to noticed but it was too late. The frog, Beans, jumped down and splattered scrambled egg all over everyone. I was disgusted and tried to get it out of my hair and clothes. I got it out luckily but the frog was still on the loose. Everyone was trying to get the frog but I don't like frogs so I stayed back with Lorraine. Mr. Baker got the frog and we all cheered.

It was time for school and we walked out and to school. Lorraine and I walked next to each other, discussing about my next fashion project. "I was thinking of a white, denim mini dress," I said. "That sounds really cute. Especially with those big hoop earrings and with your cherry red lipstick, "Lorraine said. "And a few of the top buttons unbuttoned to show some skin," I added. "It's going to look so perfect," Lorraine said. "Especially with our sense of taste and my fabrics and materials. It'll be the hottest piece anyone has seen in the last 10 years," I said.

We got to school and went to our lockers. I got my stuff and walked over to first period. School dragged today. I couldn't wait to start my next project with Lorraine.

We got home and the phone rang. Mrs. Baker and Swedes it and she said it was for me. I answered it and someone said, "Kid, your parents died in a car accident this morning." I was so shocked that I dropped the phone.
