Haunted Fields

Anya's POV

We walked into the fields close together. Once we walked a little bit we ended up in a graveyard. "What happens if we split up" asked Nadja. "If we do just run" I answered unsure of where to go. "What's that" Platon screamed. I turned to look at a creature coming out of the ground. It crawled out of the grave.

"What is that" said Elias as he ran towards me away from the monster. Elias grabbed my hand and we all took off down the maze. "Where do we go" I asked once we seemed to be far away from the graveyard. Elias let go of my hand to look around. "I don't know" said Platon confused and sacred.

"Guys come this way" said Elias as he poked his head out from behind the corner of the maze. We all followed him close together in a huddle. "I found a corn maze" said Elias. I looked at the tall corn fields. This made me think of every scary movie with tall corn. "We have to go that way" I said.

"What" said Platon as he was shaking his head no. "We have to" said Nadja as she followed behind us. We all started to make our way into the tall corn fields. "This seems to be a really bad idea" said Platon. We kept walking not listening to him. The corn leaves brushed up against us as we moved around them.

We we're able to see each other in between the tall corn. "Guys do you hear that" I asked as we kept moving in between the corn. "It so loud" said Nadja as they kept holding hands. Platon was looking around frantically for anything to pop out at us.

"Guys the corn is getting louder" I said as we kept going deeper. "How is the corn getting louder" asked Elias as he began to look around him too. "Guys look there is a barn" said Platon. We all took off running towards it. My heals hit the dirt ground with every step I took. I pushed the corn stalks out of the way to make it towards the end faster.

We made it to the barn and walked inside. "We are all here" said Elias as he did a double count. I nodded my head as we walked into the lonely barn. We walked inside together as we we're looking around still. "Thank god a opened space" said Elias. "Come on start looking" I said as I climbed up a ladder. "On it" said Platon as we looked.

I climbed up the steady ladder to get to the second floor. "Is there anything down there" I asked them. "No" said Nadja. "There isn't even animals" said Platon. "What have you found up there" asked Elias. "Nothing" I said as I was looking through boxes. "I'm coming up" said Elias from down below.

Once Elias got up I heard Platon scream. "Guys look there are hands coming out of the floor boards" said Platon as he and Nadja screamed. I turned around and I saw hands try to grab into my boots. "Oh my god" I said as I tried to dogged them. My black boots was all I saw as I looked down surrounded by hands.

I opened a box and there it was. "Guys I got one" I said as I grabbed it. "Come on" said Elias. I turned around and the hands tried to reach for me again. I grabbed onto Elias's hand as he was standing on top of a box. He pulled me close towards him. I looked behind us as the hands in the floor were gone.

I sighed feeling a bit more calmer from the situation. I turned and loyal Elias and his chest was the only thing in front of me. I had no idea we were this close. His green eyes we're looking down at my brown eyes. His black hair was a mess from all the times we were running. I kept scanning him as neither of us moved.

My adrenaline was going through the roof and I didn't care but I wanted to kiss him. I think that I was so hyped and scared that I wanted to taste him. I wanted to kiss his lips so bad. My breathing was changing and I knew my heart rate was picking up. Elias's eyes never stopped scanning me either.

He was looking at my brown hair and at my sun kissed skin as I was looking at his pale skin hovering over me since he was a little bit taller then me. I watched as his eyes looked at my lips hungrily. He was desperate as I was to kiss him. I couldn't stop my adrenaline from making me think these things.

"Guys come on we have to find three others" said Nadja as she pulled me back to reality. I shook my head as Elias's hands held onto my waist. "Get down from there" he said as he helped me turn around to face the ladder. I sighed and I went towards it hoping I didn't get caught in the moment.

I grabbed onto the ladder and started to climb down with Elias following slowly behind me. "Come on let's get out of here" I said as we all met on the bottom floor of the spooky barn. We all nodded our heads and ran towards the exit. We we're walking outside wondering where to go next.

"Guys look a windmill" said Nadja. We looked to see where she was pointing to. We all saw it and ran towards it in a hurry. I saw a box on the side and opened it to find another pearl. "We got the second one" I said feeling better about getting another one. "Come on we have two more to go" said Platon.

"Okay" I said nodding my head as we turned back towards the maze. "Let's go that way" I said as I saw a trail. "Are you sure" asked Elias. "Yeah" I said as we already began to follow it down the long twisting lane into the forest of the festival of fears.
