I never wanted to fly again.
Neveeerrrrr.
Ever again.
"My bones... I am SO HUNGRY." Grumbled Marsh, sinking down next to me.
"Oof. A little personal space, please." I muttered.
Literally everyone else except for Ash piled themselves on top of me.
Are y'all out to get me today?
"OOOOWWWWW." I complained, "That's the opposite." My Waterglow let out a squashed rat sound and wriggled out. It climbed on top of Sky and curled up peacefully.
We were flying so long until I was pretty sure I heard Winter's complains over a very loud, obnoxious gale of wind. Oh yes, I left out Marsh's stomach growling.
Ash dropped a dead rabbit in front of everybody's nose, leaving Marsh to groan longingly at the food, and snuggled in between Sky and Windstorm. Marsh grabbed a rabbit, yeeted it into the air and caught it with his teeth. I stabbed my claw into my rabbits leg. I was really starting to feel like a squished blob of goo. The cave we were nestled in was so small, and I had to put up with close contact for the rest of the time in this DAMP, DARK, PLACE.
Outside, the wind howled and threw itself against the rock walls, I could see the sea waves lapping against the sand and the smell of sea and oceans called rain. Great. We only had a few selections.
-We wait for the storm to blow itself out
-Winter clears the storm.
-We leave Ash behind.
Winter and Ash were already snoring, the other four's breath was slowing down. The sound of thunder rang as lightning flashed, lighting the dark clouds, bloated with rain that was forbidden to fall.
As I dozed off, the sound of wind rustling and my friends snoring carried me away.

I had a dream where the rock cave collapsed, the rock falling bit by bit. The others had fled out of the cave and had left me to be crushed to death. I started and snapped my eyes open.
Then I realised that Marsh and Winter rolled on top of me while sleeping. I growled softly. Again? These dragons have a horrible habit of squashing each other. Rrrrrgghh. I really wanted to bite their tails until they got out of it.
Other things I really wanted to do:
- Eat.
- Get out of this squeezy place
- Actually, to be more specific, I wanted to eat that snail which was looking at me way too superiorly.
I tried to sit still and paid attention to the waves lapping softly against the rocks. Small bugs scuttled around the large dragons and disappeared into the small fissures in the rock. One bug fluttered curiously around us and went up Ash's nostrils. Small wisps of smoke curled out of his nose and the bug shot out. It flew to rest on his wings and burned into a crisp, collapsing into a pile of ash on top of Sky's tail. And she flicked her tail sleepily, slapping BlackBerry's back.
Um. R.I.P.? I guess?
Blackberry peeled her eyes open and glanced at me, claws twitching.
"Can you save me?" I hissed softly, my voice sounding squashed. Not soft enough, obviously, cause Winter stirred, muttering, "I'm pretty sure this rock was smoother yesterday."
"It's because you're sleeping on me, you sack of dragon poop." Growled Marsh.
"And you're squashing me." I snapped. No one heard me over Winter and Marsh sniping at each other.
Suddenly Winter shut up and flattened himself on top of Marsh like he was trying to compress himself into a dripping blue puddle and my Waterglow destroyed everyone's eardrums with a loud screech. Sky jumped and hurled the insect off her back.
"AAAAAAAAH!" Yelled Ash, and rage smoke filled the cave. My waterglow squeaked and the smoke cleared slowly as Ash apologised over and over again.
Marsh was coughing so hard that he fell off me and on top of Winter.
"Argggh. That animal is my real life nightmare! What does it do other than squeal all day?"
Noticing that Winter was glaring at him, he added, "What? I never paid attention during 'crazy things Waterblasts do' when my tribe thought me that... OOOW." Winter had smacked his spiked tail into Marsh's side. "I'm GLARING at you cause you are SITTING on ME."
Hmm, I thought. Good comeback. Could use it against the two real life dragon shaped hydraulic pressers.
Blackberry looked at me amusedly before saying, "The waterglows are for the water dragons to communicate underwater."
"We can't be popping up to the surface every time we wanna chat, you know?" Winter told Marsh.
"They create bubbles containing the sound of what we say, and the receiving dragon can hear it like they are standing on land. With their noses a inch away."
Sky blinked.
"Oh crap. We gotta go..." I leaped to my feet and my pain flared in my body.
Rgggh. Hydraulic presser dragons.

Winter had somehow convinced everyone to let us swim underwater.
Winter splashed a tide of water into my face, and Ash leapt into the air with a yelp as a drop landed on his tail. The fire on his wings burned low for a moment before searing again. This tribe is so warm. Too bad they aren't as cuddly as their temperature.
Windstorm was already gnawing on a large shrimp, watching us with mildly infuriated eyes.
"Let's gooooo." He turned tail and swam deeper into the reef. Rust coloured fans rippled out of his way indignantly, and a sea anemone got hold of his left claw. He yanked it free and dived away.
"We'll follow you over sea." Called Marsh. How nice of him to let us swim. Granted, he looked disgruntled and uncomfortable. "Follow the currents. If I studied geography correctly, it should bring you closer to the Skyclouds tribe."
"And dont you DARE die." Sky added.
The moment I jumped into the water, absolute joy and freedom flared in my scales, my heart warming at the feel of the cool water brushing lightly against me. This was my element.
