Waking up at two a.m, Courtney quietly got out of bed. 'i need water..argh I didn't take my pain relief' courtney walked down stairs and out to the kitchen. Turning the light on, courtney walked to glass cupboard and grabbed one out before grabbing two pain killers out. Filling her glass up, courtney then washed it down. "Courtney" Courtney dropped the glass "god darn it" "don't move. You don't have shoes on. I didnt mean to scare you" "I just didn't expect you to be out here" "what's wrong?" "I needed water and my pain relief, I forgot to take it before bed. You should get some sleep, you have work.." "I'm not going, I have things to organize here" "a fridge?" "Yes and I need to go do shopping" "that can be done.." "no. You need to eat and drink" "and you" "yes and me" Garrett finished cleaning up all of the glass "it should be safe to move" "thank you. I will go get the mop" "I want you to rest" "let me help" "you can help keep the bed warm" Courtney shook her head with a grin "go on" "okay I'm going" Courtney walked out while Garrett looked at Courtneys rear. 'argh stop it Garrett. She is hurting. What am I thinking?' Garrett shook his head before walking to laundry to grab the mop. Cleaning up the water, Garrett turned the light off then took the mop back before heading back up stairs. 'i do hope my beautiful wife is resting' entering the room,Garrett moved back to the bed and climbed in. 'my beautiful wife' Garrett stared at Courtney as she laid in bed with her eyes closed.

Waking up to feeling a weight on her, Courtney looked at her waist. 'hes holding me while he sleeps?. I should move Incase he wakes and doesnt like what he is doing' feeling his fingers gently move over her stomach, Courtney closed her eyes as she took in his touch. 'it feels relaxing' when Garrett slowly moved his hand from over her stomach, he brushed his fingers over her side 'her skin is really soft. I need to buy her body wash again. It's only been one night and I miss it' continuing to brush his fingers over Courtney's skin, Courtney slowly rolled to face Garrett. "Good morning beautiful" "good morning, did you sleep well?" "Very. You?" "I did. We should get up and get some things done" "what needs to be done?" "Fridge, food.." "and we need to go to the mart" "the mart?" "Yes you need more body wash and personal items" "and your bathroom items too" "yeah I guess" "come on" Garrett showed a slight nod. 'she has this pull on me' both sliding out of bed, they walked to the kitchen. "No. Let's go to a cafe" "I will go get dressed" "me too".
Both heading back up stairs, courtney grabbed her clothes and moved to the side so Garrett could grab what he needs. Removing her clothes, courtney started to get dressed "STOP" courtney immediately stopped. 'my wife's perfect body' Garrett walked closer and gently put his right hand below all of her bruising "I hate that they have done this to you. Your sun kissed skin. You even have bruising on your side. So dark, purple.." "it will heal" Garrett looked directly into Courtney's light blue Stunning eyes. 'i want to..' Garrett shook the thoughts from his mind. "let's go" courtney showed a slight nod. Both stepping away from each other, they got dressed, Courtney making sure to cover her neck. 'the paparazzi will be out and on our case'
Courtney moved to the bathroom and fixed her hair as best she could without a brush and hair tie then walked out. "Cafe then let's go get what we need" "okay".
Leaving the house, Courtney looked at the two guards. "morning Gabriel and Henry" "good morning misses Emerson" "courtney is fine. Were you both close with.." "yes ma'am" Courtney put her head down "I'm sorry for your loss" Garrett looked between all three "will you be going to their funeral?" "If we have the time off" courtney looked at Garrett "they will have the time off" courtney showed a small grin "thank you" "you are not only guards. You are humans that have families" 'this wife of mine' "I'm sorry but we must go" both men nodded.
"What was that about?" "They all have families Garrett and they are close with the others guards" "you are right".
Arriving at the cafe, Courtney and Garrett exited the car. Garrett immediately put his arm around her back and walked Inside. "Mister and misses Emerson" "two lattes and.. courtney?" "A breakfast croissant thank you" "make that two" "yes sir. Eat in or take away" "here thanks" "sure" Garrett tapped his card then walked with Courtney to a table and sat down.
"Are you in any pain?" "It's tender but only when moving to sit" "why didn't you say something" "Garrett I can't stop sitting just because of this" "still, I would've gone out and brought it back to you" "it's good to get out.. not now" Garrett immediately turned to see a woman, the same one from the fountain rush their way. "mister and misses Emerson. Can you tell us what happened at your home?" "Two lovely men were murdered by Nicholas Malta, Kenneth and Claire west" "your family?" "They are related but I would not call them family" "unfortunately those related to those two gentlemen are now suffering due to their cruel ways. They have lost someone close to them" "we give our sincere apologies" Garrett internally grinned "do you know why they had murdered them?" "To try take down my husband and to try take me back to where I resided before meeting my husband" "we heard you were taken to hospital" "yes I was" "can you tell us why?" "Nicholas malta hurt me to hurt my husband. I'm fine and will heal. Excuse us, our meals are coming" the woman grinned as she walked away. "we are sorry about that" "it's fine ma'am. I hope you both enjoy" "thanks" "thank you".
'hopefully we can eat in peace' both drinking their lattes and eating their croissant, Courtney kept her eyes away from everyone. 'i can feel eyes on us but if I look, people will assume I want to talk'.
"That was delicious" "definitely. Let's go do what we need to do".
Exiting the cafe, Courtney and Garrett walked to the mart. Getting everything they needed, they took them to the register. Not saying anything, the woman behind the counter kept looking their way. "That comes to seven two fifty" Garrett raised his card and looked at the eftpos. Tapping his card, he then grabbed their items and walked out. "one night without that and I have missed it" "what?" "Your body wash" Courtney grinned "well we have more" "that we do. We need to go get a refrigerator and do all the food shopping. Are you feeling okay?" "Yes".
Getting everything done, Courtney and Garrett headed home. "Who will be working the evening shift?" "I have two other men organized" "know who they are?" "Raymond and Peter" "okay".
"No. You rest" "Garrett I can help. Its not hurting" "okay" Courtney internally grinned as she grabbed bags of food.
Garrett opened the door and they both walked in taking everything to the kitchen. "The truck shouldn't be far" "okay I will go put our bathroom items away" "if you would like to" 'shes knows where they all go. She has cleaned it many times' courtney grabbed everything from the mart and took it up stairs while Garrett walked out the front. "Are you waiting for someone mister Emerson?" "A refrigerator. Those mongrels filled the old one with manure" both men looked at Garrett wide eyed but didn't say anything. 'they really had it out for Garrett and Courtney. So far these two sound like good people and personally I think they are happy' as soon as the truck arrived, Garrett pressed the button for the gate and let it in.

'after this I believe we are all done and we can relax. I know Courtney wants me to continue to work but I want to be here to help her too. My company is doing just fine'
