CHAPTER FIVE

➛ Still on Flashback

Night had came and he felt like time just goes too fast. For the following morning and afternoon, all they did was to watched movies- animated this time. Hinata ordered bunch of snacks and foods that Hikari haven't tasted yet and of course, her favorite chocolates.

Nevertheless, he was satisfied seeing her relaxed but was not contented that it was only for today. But they have no choice this time.

So after dinner, Hinata let her choose another movie again. He let her rummage on the DVD's while he was busy munching caramelized popcorns.

"Kuya, what's this?"

He look at the DVD that she was holding. It was a horror movie. He wince.

"That's not a good movie, Sis. Pick another."

She look at him with confusion, "Why?"

"There's bunch of ghosts and monsters in there. Wanna see them?" As expected, when he said the word 'monster', she instantly paled and drop of the DVD.

"Kuya!" takot itong tumalon sa tabi niya at agad siniksik ang sarili sa kaniya.

"Monsters!"

He chuckle on his heart. It seems like he really overdue it during their childhood. Now, she's still ignorant about the things that he was saying- not knowing that it was all a lie.

"So? Still want to watch it?"

"No!" agaran nitong sagot pero bigla na lang napatigil at tumingala. She was looking at him with hesitant but eventually, she pulled his sleeves on his shirt.

"But since you're here, I'll be fine, right?"

He raise his brow, "You want to watch it. Why? Aren't you scared?"

"Scared!" walang pag-alinlangan nitong sagot. "But you'll protect me, right? You said that as long as I'm with you, monsters are nothing."

"Ah," Yes, he actually said those. He sigh.

"Alright. Just don't scream too loudly."

Seeing her nod eagerly, he set up the tape and he even turn off the lights for better experience. He chuckles secretly. He'll see how far her courage can do.

He stiffled a laugh and fake a cough to calm himself. Her expression would be a great entertain for him.

And yes, his expectations were right. From the moments ghost had arrived and as they watched how the characters brutally died one by one- Hikari was screaming non-stop.

Her expression was extremely comical and this would be a great chance for him to tease her.

However, that hadn't happened because of the situation again.

Since Hikari was too scared and shivering, she climb up on his lap again- straddle him between her legs and hug him tightly as she hid on his chest.

She was anxiously squirming on his arms. She would secretly look at the screen and would back off his arms the moments the ghosts appeared. She was also closing her lips tightly, desperately not to voice out her fears.

"Brother, monsters are too scary! Put it off! I don't want it anymore!" takot na anito at pinagpapalo ang braso niya na wari bang pinamamadali siya.

Helpless, he reach out the remote and turn it off. He sigh,

"Okay, there's no more. You can relax now." tumigil naman ito sa panginginig pero tahimik parin.

"Ari? Ari, are you okay?" napabuga siya ng hangin. "I told you you don't have to watch it, right?"
