the whole time you had dreamt either about your family, or a man with the same description that the boy on the train had told you about. he never said anything, but sometimes he would stare at you or he would just be sitting, staring at the sky.
you were bandaged basically from head-to-toe. you had gotten some pretty bad injuries, and due to that, you weren't back on missions yet. zenitsu was pretty badly injured but woke up just the next day and was back on missions already, while inosuke had woken up just two days before you had.
tanjiro was still in a coma and everyone was worried about him.
every day you and kanao would go and check on him, but he stay asleep.
you were helping around the estate even though aoi insisted you didn't need to, but you insisted back that you do.
kanao waddles over to you, "are you ready to go check on tanjiro?"
you nod, on the way you grab a vase that you can fill with flowers later on.
you hope for the best as you both reach his door, and in fact, your wish had been granted.
dropping the vase with a small gasp as you notice tanjiro awake.
"are you alright? since the fight you've been in a coma for two months" you say breathlessly.
"i.. was?" oh really.." you and kanao go over to his bed, "i'm glad you're awake" kanao smiles, you both take a seat by his bed.
you glance over at the door as one of the kakushi walks in, sighing at the broken vase. he was holding a plate of castella for tanjiro.
"um , i'm putting the castella here.. if it looks like it's going bad, you can throw it away or eat it" he says.
"th.. thank.. you" tanjiro says slowly, the kakushi drops the plate of castella on his bed.
"he.. he's awake?! you should be more excited!" he screams, "you two really are spacey! you shoulda called someone!!! and said he woke up! you dummy!!"
you blink.
"everyone is worried! ranks don't matter! not at time like this!"
your lips part, "sorry..."
"kiyo! sumi! naho! aoi! tanjiro has regained consciousness!"
