Chapter 14: Nia Honjou - When Life Gives You Spirit Sealers, You Refuse

"I see," Nia stated, using one of her two index
fingers to reaffirm her glasses' position. "But no."

Kurumi smiled.

"That's alright, Nia-san.. I've already got want I wanted anyways.. and I thank you for lending me your time."

As she ended her sentence, she walked over to a nearby wall and simply sunk in, with the sight of Kurumi's clock eye rewinding.

"..I wonder what was that all about." mumbled a confused Nia, her grip on [Raziel] tightening. "But now that I think about it, she was being nice to me..much like how Boy was to me."

[Sister] sighed in frustration as she looked up, the ceiling being the only thing in her sight.

While still looking up, she consciously opened [Raziel] and said, "What is (Y/N) (L/N) doing now?"

The answer was then revealed.

(Y/N) was seen with Shido, Kotori, and both of the sealed Spirits, the only exception being Kurumi, off to who knows where.

All of them were sitting at a small round table, their surroundings all dark making the room seem infinite, the only light source being a light bulb hanging from the ceiling.

Each one of them sat on their seats with nameplates made out of paper stating their names.

"So..you failed," Kotori said, her eyes closed which made (Y/N) wonder if she was mad.

"Yep." (Y/N) answered.

"And Kurumi's gone."

"Yep." He repeated.

Kotori sighed. "Well, we'll do everything we can to find Kurumi..but in the meantime, we need to find a way to make Nia fall for you."

"Muu...Shido, why is it that Nia can only fall for 2D?" Tohka asked.

"Yeah, I also wondered about that." Kotori voiced her thoughts.

"I..don't know about that, Tohka," Shido replied, scratching the back of his head.

'Typical anime pose.' (Y/N) thought. 'I can't tell them I'm from another world now.'

"So, what're we gonna do? Any chance that Ratatoskr's gonna send Shido in?" asked (Y/N).

"No." Kotori denied. "As said, she can only love 2D, and she gave you a chance to seal her."

"And as said, I failed."

"Regardless, you can't just back down now. You went up against the most powerful Spirit Ratatoskr has data of! That's more than enough to say that you mustn't give in to failure!" Shido encouraged (Y/N).

(Y/N) closed his eyes as he contemplated, or rather tried to remember something. And that something was what did they do when Ratatoskr faced Nia like this.

Twas on the tip of his tongue, yet it won't just roll off as it should.

"I-I have a su-suggestion." A timid voice sounded.

"What is it, Yoshino?" Shido questioned.

"I-If Nia-san c-can only love 2D, th-then can't we ju-just make a m-manga of (Y/N)-san?"
