It was getting warmer in Manhattan. People going out to pacify themselves at Central Park, shopping at the Financial District, spending time with their family at home, and playful children in playgrounds had me in awe, but I wasn't feeling this spring. I was used to the Easter celebrations, eating at fancy restaurants, visiting museums and even reading books in my apartment at Chelsea. I wanted to expand my horizons. I took the whole week off, since it was spring break. I wanted to go somewhere where I can feel relaxed, and away from the buzzing traffic and chaotic subway rides of New York City. I have been on Tumblr recently, scrolling threw my dashboard to see wonderful pictures of Paris, France. A close friend of mine from high school was living in France, and she was willing to let me crash on her couch for the week. It took some time, but I bought my ticket, packed my clothes, carried my camera, and kept my sketching pad in my carry on. I also decided to bring my yorkie, Hope, with me. She was my key to de-stressing, and was also my closest friend. I didn't think France was going to be the first European country I decided to visit, since I didn't know that much of the French language, nor did I try their food. As a child, I would dream of going to Europe, or somewhere far away from hamburger-loving America. Don't get me wrong, I DO love living in America, I just want to expand my horizons...
