It is now night time, where the tavern closes and like Diluc had said to have a meeting. Lumine and Paimon entered the tavern to be greeted by Venti

Venti: You're here

Jean: Wait, you're... Lumine?

They were not only greeted by Venti but Jean as well who was surprised to see Lumine same goes to them

Lumine: Why is the Acting Grand Master here?

Diluc decides to butt in the conversation

Diluc: Well, first of all, I contacted more than one person. Secondly, she came here as "Jean" herself, not as the Acting Grand Master. A Jean you would never see, even as an Honorary Knight

Jean: What a surprise. I heard about the Holy Lyre, but I never suspected it was you. So, the sound of the Holy Lyre can purify Stormterror and return it to normal... Is that true?

Venti: That's right! Your Honorary Knight and Vice Commander is putting themselves on the front line to try and resolve this Stormterror issue. Now, that's the hotshot of the Knights of Favonius I'm talking about

Paimon: Feels like we're breaking the law though...

Jean look at Venti in confusion

Jean: Wait. Did you just say Vice Commander?

You: It appears I am late to the party

Everyone look towards the door to see Y/N walking in shocking Jean as he wink at her. Paimon look at him with a blank face and cross her arms

Paimon: Try to be on time, next time

He chuckles

You: I'll try but no promises

Diluc again decides to keep everyone on the task at hand. She cross her arms

Diluc: I understand this kind of absurd explanation is hard to believe. But we can ask the bard to play the song again to try and persuade-

Jean: I believe you

Jean cuts in quickly before Diluc finishes her sentence

Diluc: To persuade our stubborn comman- Wait, what?

She look at Jean as she continues her reason

Jean: I can't think of any reason for Dvalin's betrayal, given it was once one of The Four Winds. However, if it was poisoned in the battle over Mondstadt all those years ago... And then corrupted by the Abyss Mage after it woke up- we can't really blame it. But as Acting Grand Master I obviously cannot make such a statement publicly

Y/N decides to help her reason

You: Diplomatic pressure from the Fatui makes it hard for us to seek a peaceful resolution to the Stormterror issue. People would think Jean have lost grip on the gravity of the situation

Jean: That's why I can only do this in private

Diluc exhaled

Diluc: Hmph. That's one of the reason I don't like the Knights of Favonius. What surprises me is that you would believe an outlander so easily...

Jean smile at her

Jean: My cautious and meticulous superior, even you trust her, Don't you, ma'am?

Diluc look away annoyed

Diluc: I already told you not to call me ma'am... Never mind. We don't often get to work together after all

Lumine: Ma'am?
