For the second time, I woke up in Roman Maddens heavenly penthouse. This time with the man himself in the bed only a few inches from me.
I looked over at him as the morning sun illuminated every muscle and curvature in his toned body. His pale sheets covering his waist, thankfully.
His dark hair was messily tousled over to the side, making it difficult to get a clear glimpse of his face.
I pulled the covers up to my chin as he started to wake, a bit late to act modest now Daisy.
I retraced every moment of the rollercoaster of last night, in a constant state of blushing. Id gone from swearing off men completely to now casually sleeping with one of my boss' partners that I've only known for probably the shortest amount of time that I've known anyone, besides Lucky of course.
"What time is it?" His voice sounded a thousand times deeper in the morning, I blushed with every word he spoke.
I looked over at the digital clock on his nightstand.
"11 am."
"fuck." He softly groaned into his pillow, bringing a rising heat to my chest.
I hadn't had the courage last night to inform Roman that it was my first time in bed with anyone, and I wasn't feeling super courageous this morning either so.... It was going to be a secret I would take to my grave.
I'm sure he assumes I'd done it at least once at this age.
Roman slowly got up bringing the covers up along with him, his hair flopping down across his face. "I'm late, and you are even more incredibly late"
He glared at me the second I begun shaking my head.
"What do you mean no?"
"Katz said I could come in at noon when Lucky is supposed to come in to say goodbye."
"And why couldn't I come in at noon?"
"Because Katz wanted his meeting with you to be done with by ... 10" I cleared my throat, "so he'd have time to hang out with Lucky."
Roman rolled his eyes dramatically, the sheets still loosely wrapped around his waist. "In other words, no Roman only you are late."
He was incredibly far from being a morning person and it was too difficult to contain my laughter.
Seeing someone who has always been so stern and cold holding a white sheet up, throwing an early morning temper tantrum was ridiculously funny to me.
There is no way he could ever look intimidating to me again, I'd just have to replay this picture in my mind.
He slowly turned and glared at my stupid grin.
"What do you find so funny about this?" He began walking back to me, a sparkle of deviance in his eyes.
Replay the picture, replay the picture.
Roman leaned forward and gently kissed the side of my cheek. "Daisy, Daisy, Daisy," he repeated, "you look amazing this morning, who are you wearing?"
I smiled and pushed his face away, "Your extremely cold sheets. Now go away you're embarrassing me."
"Cold? I wouldn't say cold." He pretended to think long and hard, "I'd say hot, a bit sweaty even."
