It's weird to be back on the FNaF fandom TwT

**********

The sun is bright, peaking through my window, through the curtains. It's nice to see it every now and then. I can see dust run through the sunbeams, dancing until they disappear into the darkness of the room. What am I doing? Absolutely nothing. Just sitting on my bed and staring at the dust.

Ray, my big brother, walks in with a tired face. He was messaging Mr. Ted last night about our job. Mr. Ted has this pizzeria with animatronics, not very original, and asks us to mess with his rivals' animatronics and, preferably, shut down the rival's restaurant. Right now, the big one is Fazbear Entertainment. I've been trying to get access to these stupid cameras for the last week, and I thought I deserved a break.

"So, did you get into them yet?" Ray asks with skepticism in his voice.

"I'm close. The cameras are harder than Fazbear," I answer, laughing at myself. Ray's twenty-two and I'm sixteen. I'm a professional hacker, despite my age. I'm learning code in school, but I also study extra.

"Well, Mr. Ted kind of... uh, shortened our timetable," he breathes out, obvious annoyance in his voice. "He sure wants them gone."

We earn about two to three thousand for our services, and have extra jobs for other companies, just to live. It's sort of fun to also sabotage Mr. Ted under his nose. That explains why Hopper keeps malfunctioning. We fix him, get more money, sabotage him again, more money. It's a deadly cycle, but our parents sure aren't doing anything for us. What did Ray learn? He learned how to make weapons and taught me how to put viruses and glitches into drives to feed animatronics. By "feed", I mean insert the drive in and wait for them to react. I sometimes experiment with other computers that Mr. Ted and other companies give us.

Fazbear Entertainment, though, they never tried to contact us. Probably because this would be cheating in the biz or something. I mean, there was one call from the security guard, but the manager or overall CEO has to do it. They're the biggest company, and we've attempted to sabotage them before. Their security is better than the last restaurants from their history, and we aren't even ready now. Let's just say contact was cut off from a pizzeria after that.

"Well, we can just work with Fazbear and then I could get the cameras last minute," I reply. I can't even notice the annoyance hidden in my voice, thinly laced like poison that never works. "Tell him we need more time."

"I tried, but he said that we have to be ready by tomorrow," Ray whines, rubbing his eyes and trying to refuse a yawn from escaping.

I have to admit, I'm tired too. We have committed crimes like these a lot, more than a criminal would. The only reason why we have never been caught was because we could cover up our tracks and hide in the shadows days after the crime. Our parents left us alone, when Ryan was sixteen and when I was ten. I learned how to code from a few education websites, go to school, and here we are. Ryan doesn't have any other work besides this. He never went to high school.

"Well, it's already six. Let's just get some sleep, and I can try a few more times before we go tomorrow," I respond, my index finger tapping the desk hardly. "You look like you need it."

"How long did you work on trying to get into the cameras last night?" he asks.

"Until two a.m.," I answer, sighing in defeat.

"You need it more than I do," he laughs.

"Well, we're both sleep deprived," I reply, closing my eyes for only a few seconds, and then opening them.

"Just close the computer and get some sleep. The data's not going anywhere," Ray sighs, ruffling my hair and leaving the room.

Maybe he's right, but I need to at least try a few more times. After some attempts, I look over at my watch and take a second glance, 10:00 p.m. I was working for four extra hours. Well, I did get access to most of the cameras undetected, so I can consider that a win.

I lift myself off the chair, and don't bother to change into some pajamas. I just fall onto the bed, sleeping before my head even hits the pillow, feeling the inky ocean of dreams swallow me whole.
