SHE'S THE BOSS

pt. 04

Jacob and Hyunjae took your boss to the basement and placed him down on the hospital bed.

"If he woke up, we're dead or he won't remember. If he doesn't wake up then we throw him into the forest and let him die." You said.

You looked at both of them. It looked like they were gonna throw up.

"What are we supposed to do? Leave him here to create an awful smell? It gives the animals food, I guess."

All three of you headed back up to the meeting room and everyone was still there.

"Attention everyone, I may or may not have to be the new boss."

Everyone's faces turn shocked, even Hyunjae and Jacob's.

"Hey, what are you talking about?.." Jacob whispers into your ear.

"If you accidentally kill the boss, you become the boss."

"But... Technically Jacob did."

You look at Jacob shaking his head in denial.

"You can be the boss, not me," Jacob says.

Hyunjae shrugs at both of you and you tell everyone to leave the meeting room.

"Hyunjin ah, you said that you were younger than us. How old are you?" Hyunjae says and you laugh.

"Don't ask a girl that!" Jacob hits Hyunjae's shoulder.

"No, it's fine. I'm 22 turning 23."

"Wahhh~ You're the same age at Sunwoo."

You freeze. You were the same age as Sunwoo.
Speaking of Sunwoo, you forgot about the test you were giving him tomorrow and about the work you didn't finish last night.

"Hold on, I'll see you guys tomorrow." You ran up to your office.
You threw your bag on the cushion next to the wall and quickly sat in your seat turning on your computer. You scrolled through your work and started typing again.

It was now 8:30 PM. The building closed at 9 PM. You were hoping to finish by 9 and be able to go home and lay down in your bed but that was not going to happen.
You still had another assignment that would at least take 20 minutes.
True, it was past the due date and your boss wasn't working right now... But if he did wake up it had to be turned in or else you were dead meat.

You were already halfway done with your last assignment and you were exhausted from just typing all day. All of a sudden you hear a door slam shut from downstairs.
It was 9:20 PM. No one should have been there except you.

You got up and went downstairs, you checked every floor for any sign until you got to the 3rd floor. You saw lights reflecting off the wall, the lights were coming from the training room.
It must have been someone with a key because the alarm hadn't gone off.

You leaned against the wall and slowly walk over to the door, step by step, and leaned your head towards the clear glass door to see someone.
You quickly lifted your head away to make sure they didn't see you.
You didn't recognize them. True, you didn't know whether it was a boy or a girl or if it was someone you knew or not. You wondered why they would be in the training center of all places.

You leaned your head towards the door again and saw a shirtless guy walking around. The first thing you thought of was one of the boys.
You decided to just walk inside, just to surprise them. You did just that.

You got off the wall and headed to the door and opened it to see...

Sunwoo.

Both of your eyes were locked with each other. You didn't even move. It was like this for about 30 seconds that felt like 30 minutes.

"What are you doing here?" You walk in and close the door behind you.

You saw him covering his body with his arms. You looked at him up and down.

"I've seen a shirtless guy before, I just wanna know why you're here."

He drops his arms down and walks towards you.

"Training... What does it look like?"

"It looks like you can't do everything."

He pats your shoulder and says, "I can."

You roll your eyes and point to the equipment.

"Then I'll test you now."

He shrugs and walks over to the shooting station.

"Put the armored guard on. And yes, your gonna have one when doing a mission."

Of course, he didn't put it on. He just started shooting at the target. He was doing well though. He was getting all of them into the middle.

"Okay, next."

"What?"

You look around to realize he already did punching and you taught them how to put on their uniforms.

"10 pull-ups."

He jumps up and grabs the bar on the wall, you were staring at his back.

"Go."

You watch as he goes up and down, counting to 10 in your head.

8.. 9.. 10.. 11.. 12.. Wait-

"You did 10 already."

"This.. Is.. Just.. To.. Impress.. You.."

You stared at his back then face-palmed. You knew he just wanted to show he could do everything.

He finally stopped and dropped down.

"There, 25."

"25 too many."

"No... 25 is when we're gonna get married."

You wanted to throw up right there at that moment. You gagged and he just laughed.

"Eww, I would never date nor marry you."

"I'm just kidding, damn."

Now both of you were laughing which was weird but it was kinda nice to have someone else to laugh with like Hanse.

You both hung out together and trained together. You were enjoying his company considering you never really liked him in the first place. He was unique. You never thought you would say that but he was like a second Hanse.

He ended up leaving at 10:45 PM and of course, you still hadn't finished your assignment but that didn't matter to you right now. All that mattered to you was Sunwoo. He changed your mind about him that night.

You knew he was nice but you had some hate for him inside. Will it go away?
