SHE'S THE BOSS

pt. 06

As you were walking back, the guys started asking you millions of questions.

"What if you kill your boss of purpose?"

"You would die."

"What if you don't want to be the boss?"

"You have to."

"What if-"

"Just shut up."

They didn't say a word after you said that. Now you had to fix one more problem. Finding Sunwoo. You had no idea where he could be.
Once you got back to the building you went back upstairs to see some of the guys training on the third floor which made you proud.
All of a sudden the training room door swings open almost hitting you as you walk past.

"Ah- I'm sorry Noona. But Sunwoo's in your office I believe." Eric said to you.
You nodded and went to your office, leaving Hanse, Hyunjae, and Jacob together.

When you got to your office you saw Sunwoo sitting on the cushioned chair in front of your desk on his phone. He turned his head when he heard you open the door but he didn't say anything.

"Sunwoo." You said trying to get his attention but he didn't even budge.

You walked behind your desk and sat down and stared at him as he was connected to his phone.

"Can you look at me?" You said yet that still didn't bring his attention to you.

You snatched his phone out of his hands and put it in your lap, you looked back up at him to see him frozen with his hands in the same place.

"Why did you storm out of the meeting?" You stared at him until he looked up at you. You had finally got his attention.

"...Jacob" He whispered so that you couldn't hear him, but you did.

"Jacob? What about him."

His eyes widened when you heard him and he just scratched the back of his head.

"Nothing, never mind."

"Are you jealous of Jaco-"

The door swings open to show Hanse with an envelope in his hand.

"Here." He walks over to your desk and hands you the letter.

"Who's it from?"

He didn't answer, he just walked out and closed the door shut.
You opened it to see a note, you opened the note and skimmed through it, and at the bottom, it said: "sincerely, Jacob."

"I see..."

"It's from Jacob, isn't it?"

You nod.
You felt bad for Sunwoo, you didn't know what was going on with him but it just didn't sit right with you.
You and Sunwoo just connected last night and now you wanted to treat him like a friend. But... Treating others how you want to be treated isn't going so well.

"If you're not okay with me talking with Jacob then you should start to because I have to work with him."

"I'm not jealous of you and him but if you start dating him, don't break his heart." He says as he crosses his arms and leans back.

"We're not gonna date, I'm his boss. Why would you want to date your boss?!"

You both went on and on about this stupid situation. It didn't even make sense to talk about it. Sunwoo just wanted to make a point.

A few hours went past and you and Sunwoo were now back to the start. You both hated each other, you didn't know whether it would go back to the way it was or not but you were just gonna let the boat sail.
Now about Jacobs's letter, I'll just tell you what it said:
"Hey, I know what happened in the meeting was awkward but I wanna say sorry about how the guys were being. They usually like to tease people a lot, I can admit they're annoying sometimes but they're really good friends. If you did feel awkward, don't be because that's what you're gonna have to deal with for a while. But other than that, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out. AS FRIENDS. I'll make sure the guys don't find out. Just as a treat for the guys being embarrassing haha... But if you want to just text or call me. Thanks, from Jacob."

You found the note sweet and you were leaving to go see him already. You were meeting up at a new cafe to try it out. You needed some coffee from all that had happened today, just to calm you down. Also to give you energy.

You saw him by a post on his phone and you walked over to him.

"Hi, Jacob!" You opened your arms wide for a hug, he was confused at first but understood.

"Hi, Hyunjin." He hugged you back.

You both walked in and the smell of coffee few into your noses.

"It smells so good." You said, Jacob smiled at you.

You both walked over to the counter and ordered. You ordered your favorite, a caramel macchiato. Jacob started pulling out money and you pushed his hand away and gave the cashier your money before Jacob could.
You smiled at Jacob while he was shocked.

"You know, I could pay too." He said and you laughed.

"You don't have to, you've already been so nice to me. The least I could do is pay."

You both smiled at each other and went to find a table while you waited for each other's coffees.
Both of you talked for a bit about your likings and dislikes. Turns out you can learn a lot about someone just from that.

The bell rang and Jacob got up and left to get the coffees. You thanked him and placed the cup on the table for the drink to cool down.

"Your 24, right?" You asked Jacob and he nodded.

"That's nice, you're the same age as Hanse. Maybe you two could get along."

He shrugged. "He's a nice guy, it would be cool to get to know him."

"I can ask him if you two could hang out together." You grabbed your warm cup of coffee and put it towards your lips and drank a bit.

"Sure, if you want to."

You nodded. "Yeah, I could ask him."

You both talked and talked about everything. It was like what you and Sunwoo had done. You both were getting along well and it made you happy to see Jacob happy.

Suddenly, you had a feeling of someone watching you.
