The boy next door

This is a story about 16-year-old Daerion Hawkins (Sophomore) who starts to form feelings for 17-year-old jock Jackson (Junior). These feelings for Jack have been within Daerion since 6th grade, yet he has never shown it or told Jackson. The problem is the person he likes is dating his bullying. Emily McBride captain of the cheerleading team. Will Daerion win his true love or will it destroy him. 2 opposites, a jock who is loved by everyone and is popular and the awkward, weird band boy. 2 people with different pasts, presents, but the same future. Will these feeling make Daerion happy, or will these feelings be the one that crushes it?

Chapter 1

The beginning

These feelings for Jackson deepen more each day. I cannot hold these feelings anymore. It pains my heart every time I see him with Emily.  She's perfect I wouldn't lie, she's stunning, she's smart, she's kind to some people, but she isn't good to him. I see them talking sometimes but it is always her talking. She doesn't love Jackson. She loves herself, and if you ask me, she is self-centered. I decided to study for my chemistry test alone in the library until Jackson came in. My heart fluttered when he sat next to me.

Jackson: Hey Daerion

Daerion: You know my name?

Jackson: Of course, I'm not a douche bag like the others

Daerion: That is true

Jackson: I hope this doesn't come off as rude or like this is the only reason I'm talking to you, but can you help me study for our quiz tomorrow I'll pay you 100 dollars and you can come around 5.

My heart stopped, Jackson wanted me to come over and he was paying me too.

Daerion: Um I'm free today I can come over

Jackson: Great it's a date

I was kind of flabbergasted, a date? I didn't know what that meant so I called Clare.

Clare: Hey Daerion, is everything okay?

Daerion: No, you know Jackson, right?

Clare: Your boyfriend?

Daerion: Ha funny, he asks me to come over to help him with studying and he said he'll pay me

Clare: Okay?

Daerion: He said "It was a date" am I reading too much into this?

Clare: Yes, probably you fall in love with people too fast

Daerion: Yes, I agree but I've been liking him since middle school remember

Clare: Ah yes, okay do this, go over and let it take its course and tell me exactly what he does, but don't be expecting anything he does have a girlfriend remember.

It was lunchtime and normally I would eat school lunch but then Jackson came up to me.

Jackson: I will never let my friends eat this, let me get your something down the street my treat

Daerion: No, you don't have to

Jackson: No, it's fine. I will treat my boyfriend to some fast food now hop into my car, please.

Without a second thought, he hopped into Jacksons' 2021 Jeep. As the wind collided with Jackson's soft brown hair, he looked amazing in his jeans and his flannel shirt. Everything was good until he grabbed my thigh and asked

Jackson: So, what do you want to eat?

Daerion: Maybe some Chinese food

Jackson: Dang you can eat, I love a guy that can eat a lot

It was a 20 min drive there and he kept grabbing his thigh while he drove. I tried so hard not to blush, but it came out. When we got there, he started to shower me with compliments.

Jackson: You smell nice Daerion, I love your hair, and I have heard you play in the band. You're amazing, you're the only reason I enjoy the games

Daerion: Stop it you're going to make me blush

They both laugh

Daerion: Well, if we're giving out complaints your hair looks oh so soft and you have gotten big over the years.

Jackson: Do you want to touch it?

Daerion: What?

Jackson: My hair and my biceps

Daerion: Oh sure

Daerion feels Jackson's hair, and he now believes that his hair is the softest thing he had ever touched, and his bicep was rock hard.

Daerion: Oh, look at the time we need to get back to class now.

Jackson: It's okay my parents are friends with the people in the office we can take our time.

After we were done eating, we hopped back into his jeep and drove off. He started to rub my thighs again the difference was he held his hand out asking me to hold his hand on the way back to school.

Jackson: Hey, I had fun today, I hadn't had this much fun since middle school

As Jackson pulled up to the school I walked out.

Jackson: Do you mind if I walk you to class?

Daerion: No, I don't mind at all

As he walked me to my English class, he held my hands. I can see him doing it in the car since no one can see but this was in public.

Mrs. King: Daerion you're here I need you to turn in your essay.

Daerion: thanks for walking me to class, I'll see you later

Jackson then hugged me Infront of the whole class, my heart skipped a beat after that.

I couldn't pay attention at all after that, the only thing that mattered to me was Jackson

As the 6th-hour bell rang Emily stopped me at the lockers.

Emily: Hey gay-Erion, how's your day? Got rejected by a boy today?

Daerion: Please leave me alone

Emily: You're glad I have a headache from all the rainbows that in you

Daerion runs in the bathroom crying. He gets a random text saying he's okay. He responds by saying who is this, it was Jackson.

Daerion: How did you get my number?

Jackson: I practically got on my knees and begged Clare to give it to me, anyways I went to come to talk to you and saw you running and crying, What's wrong?

Daerion: Oh, my dog just died

I chose to lie to him because I didn't want to cause drama with him and Emily

Jackson: I'm so sorry, meet me in my jeep in 5, please

I decided to get into his car not knowing what he would say but he didn't say anything, he just hugged me saying it was going to be okay and that he could call the office and get you to excuser the rest of his classes. He then dropped me off at his house and shushed me to his guest bedroom.

Jackson: You can stay here since my parents are never home anyway

Daerion:  Thank you so much

Jackson: It's no Biggy I love helping my boyfriends out, get some sleep

He then kissed me on my forehead, and I slept myself away. Before he left, he told me.

Jackson: I'll come and wake you up around 5 and we can start studying for our test and after we can go see a movie, I have a perfect one we can go see.
