Warrick had the same dream today as he did for a month now, however it was in even more vivid detail than before. But he slept soundly as if nothing was bothering him. Even in his dreams he was increasingly more conerned about what bizarre events were unfolding seemingly only to him.
8 P.M. he woke up. Rather than going on his usual routine and get ready for work he lied in his bed pondering a plan of action. As he was going through possible solutions for his eerie problems he remembered the envelope.
He wanted to open it despite what Zelia told him, but as far as he could tell there was no better time for it than now, so he sliced it open. What he found inside was jawdropping. It was an authentic gold coin with an unknown crest on it accompanied with a letter saying: "Find what you search for in a place you've already found it.". For anyone else this might sound like bullshit and for the better part of it, it is, however Warrick flinched for a second after reading it. He clearly had intel on something no one else had.
Immediately he put on his clothes and rushed out the front door. He didn't eat, brush his teeth or even lock the door for that matter. His destination was the forest. He ran as fast as he could, not that he had to, but he felt the urgency of the situation. As if his brain had map ingrained in it he knew the exact location of everything in his path. He stumbled across multiple odd things that weren't there before, but he didn't have the necessary cognitive ability at that time to realize these changes. Luckily he was in good shape, so his two mile long run didn't completely demolish his lungs. Finally he reached a giant boulder. It was towering over him and looked extremely out of place, as if it had been brought there deliberately. He then started touching around the giant rock looking for something. After roughly five minutes of tapping the rock seemingly randomly a click echoed in the not at all dense forest. He then meticulously counted 347 steps north from the boulder where he started rummaging through the leaves. He then found a rope that opened up a trapdoor. It was extremely narrow, only wide enough to fit a small child. He reached down into it and lifted a small titanium chest. Despite being about 4 inches wide it was extremely heavy. His hands were shaking as he tried to open it, but the number lock combination has changed. He couldn't open it anymore. Warrick started to panic, which was extremely out of character for him. He started touching around the opening to look for something, anything that could give him a clue as to what is going on. He did indeed find another envelope glued to the bottom of the trapdoor. It had the same crest on it as before. Despite the increasing unease and panic he didn't open it.
No one should have known about this place, he thought to himself, but he was already led by his nose and he was too deep in to escape. Due to his secret, he couldn't even contact his friends or for that matter anyone for help. All he could think about was her... Zelia.Warrick went to Stan's place immediately after. He lived in an RV parked not so far from Warricks home. Stan, similarily to Warrick, was a minimalist and didn't mind living in a vehicle despite having options to not do so. Another reason for his settling in in a car was that he enjoyed traveling, a lot, and having the ability to pack up in a twist of a key was everything he needed to live a complete life. Stan frequently came home to Brick Bay however. He claims that it's because he couldn't miss the Fall Festival, but in reality he missed his friends. Travelling alone has its toll on people and he wasn't fortunate enough to find someone else who shares his idea of a perfect life yet, but he's hopeful that he will one day.
Warrick knocked on a window.
- *whispering* Stan, come on out.
Silence...
- Stan!
- *snore*
- *banging* Wake up.
- Mhhm... What?!
- Psst! It's me, War.
- Oh, it's you. Give me a sec.
Some shuffling was heard inside the RV and some things being knocked off. Stan wasn't the tidiest of people around.
