NEXT DAY
The sun has set completely drowning the city in darkness. A large red car sped past the park of Windy Lane. This road is leading to Manik's house. Maybe that's the destination of this car.
Nandini, Avneet and Sid were at Manik's place having their own gala time. As it's Sunday so Manik didn't have his chamber, he was at home only with them. Manik, Sid and Avneet were speaking about something and laughing on it. Nandini was helping Neelima in making kitchen. She loved doing works with Neelima.
When they were done setting the table, Neelima called out for others. "Manik, Avneet, Sid, come here. Dinner is ready. You all are chatting for so long still the talk never ended."
That time only the doorbell rang. Nandini and Neelima shared a look as no one was supposed to come at this hour.
"I'll check." Nandini said walking towards the door.
Nandini went ahead and opened the door; by then others had already come to the dining room. When Nandini opened the door, he saw a boy standing there who was tall and a few years elder to her. He looked very rich.
"Yes? Whom do you want to meet? I didn't recognize you." Nandini spoke not knowing the person. She knew almost everyone related to Manik's family but she had never seen this boy.
"Hey, it's Vicky. Vicky Khanna. You?"
When Nandini didn't come till sometime, Manik got up and went to see Nandini. "Nandini, who is it?" He went to Nandini and saw the guy named Vicky. He also looked at Manik from head to toe.
"You're Nandini?" Vicky asked.
Nandini nodded her head. "Yes, it's Nandini Kapoor. But I didn't know you?" She looked at him in confusion.
"Your father is Mr. Sanjay Kapoor? The businessman?" He spoke up.
Avneet came out from Nandini's back and rolled her eyes looking at him. "Tell me what you want? Don't waste out time speaking all this rubbish."
"Sorry." Vicky smiled. "Sanjay uncle has sent me to meet Nandini."
"To meet with me?" Nandini was surprised.
"What do you want tell us clearly?" Sid glared at the person.
"Yes, tell us clearly. What do you want? Why're you here?" Manik too asked in a stern tone.
"Obviously." He was smiling like a fool. "Sanjay uncle has sent me here to meet with my would be wife. Actually we had come to their place for dinner but Nandini was not there so I couldn't meet her."
Everyone looked at him with wide eyes. They were still confused seeing him. Nandini and Avneet had completely forgotten about their last night's conversation with their father so as Khanna's.
"Let me make it more clear. Nandini is my would be wife. Sanjay uncle and my father has fixed mine and her wedding. That's why I've come here to pick her." Then he turned towards Nandini. "Baby, let's go from here. We need to hang out and get to know each other well before wedding."
Vicky's words seemed to break the sky on everyone's head. Specially on Manik.
"What're you saying?" Manik almost yelled. "Look, don't waste our time talking nonsense at this hour of night. We're not in mood to hear your craps."
"Manik is right. Whoever you're, just look at Nandini." Sid then pointed at Nandini. "How can you call her baby? Does she look like one? Also we've no interest about you. So, you're welcome to leave from here."
That time Avneet's mind remembered of last evening. She also remembered Sanjay saying he wants Nandini to marry this Khanna boy. 'Whatever he said in the morning, is it true? Stupid you, Avneet! When Vicky is already here, standing in front you, asking your sister for outing, then it's true for sure. Now what'll happen? How'll di react? I'm sure, we're gonna have a tsunami in home today. Di won't leave that person.' She thought in mind and looked at Nandini who was looking angry.
