When mom and dad got home Lilacs fish stared up at them, they looked to the blue China bowl to see one of her copper coins. "What has she done Dan?!" Her mother murmured under her breath. Then she screamed "LILAC!!" "Yes mom?" "Why would you have spent your copper coin on this?!" Her mom said pointing to the fish. "Mother, I have bought it because the man selling them said they will bring us WEALTH!" "Isn't that what you always wanted mother?" "Yes! But how foolish you are, That man tricked you! This here fish is just another mouth to feed!" Her mother said, sighing. Lilacs smile when away for the first time in years. She saw shock in her parents eyes. She would never frown, until now. "I'll feed it!" she said, her smile coming back. Her mother sighed and ate her rice. Her dad said "Lilac is just a kid, she shouldn't give up her food." He gave the fish some of his rice. Lilac went to bed.
